1.
So glad I found this thread. Thank you so much original poster for starting it. I am approved and getting ready for my Dec 17 surgery date and not feeling nervous yet. I see by reading some of everyone's posts that the closer you get to your date the more you start thinking about and It makes sense that we will. I will be catching up by reading the first to last post up to this time and reading each day every new post. Everyone who has got to the other side keep the determination you had before your surgery. Never tire but if you do fall off the horse quickly try to get back on it. To those who are vrry close to your surgery dates I pray that all goes well and in sync. Bless all in our new chance for weightloss and lifestyle changes

Laura

Welcome to the club. I feel the same way as you. I'm so glad to have found this forum and to know that we all in the same boat and working for the same goal. It has been such a blessing to have support and advice from this crew. I'm nervous and worried about the day of surgery but but excited to get to the other side. God bless us all on this journey to a healthy, active life.

  2. I am so bloated and gassy too! I feel yucky!

Hi everyone. I started my two week pre-op diet yesterday and I'm having trouble with gas, bloating, and diarrhea. My surgery is scheduled for 12-18 and I'm really trying to follow this diet, but this is very uncomfortable. Anyone else having issues?

Hey SoPeachy28. Its nice to know someone else is feeling the same way. The gas and rolling bowels have not been fun. I call my doctors office today and they advise me I could try to add some Fiber to to my Protein Drinks but only half of the directed amount. Or Try Gas-X. The diarrhea has gotten better thank goodness. I hope it gets easier as the days pass because this is uncomfortable. Also I'm so glad i found this forum. It's nice to know others are walking the same steps and all of you guys are great with advice. Thanks everybody

  3.
I had the runs on day 2 (and peed every hour for the first 2 days) but I've been fine since. You could have a whey intolerance.

Yes, the thought cross my mind but Ive never had a problem with milk or cheese. And I love them both. Today I added 2 oz of cheese and my stomach felt better. Hope I can get over this as I'm already so nervous about this surgery. I might try adding Fiber to one of my Protein drinks.
