  1. 185 today! Scale moved but in the wrong direction- hopefully it is mostly bloating!
  2. 182 today. Was at a very stressful meeting yesterday and ate too many cookies- didn't show up on the scale this morning but I will need to be extra careful this week!
  3. If someone can help you full-time for the first week (when you can't drive and may have some pain), you will be fine!
  4. starting weight (today); 183 Valentine's Day: 177
  5. It got really bad for me around 4 months post surgery. I am not losing as much now (6 months out) but haven't noticed re-growth yet either.
  6. I am in too! Goal is 177.
  7. At my six month check up I was told one cup of coffee per day is ok.
  8. Iron serum was 35 (normal is 35-155) . Is serum glucose the same as serum insulin? My serum glucose was normal- 82.
  9. I had my 6 month check-up and was surprised to learn that my A1C (5.9) has not changed at all since before surgery so I am still pre-diabetic. I have lost 54 pounds so this really surprised and disappointed me. Anyone have insight why this might occur? Thanks.
  10. Good for you for recognizing the problem- most of us have foods we just can't keep around because they are too tempting. For me, it's junky candy like twizzlers- once I allow myself to eat one, I can't stop thinking about them. Much easier for me to ban them from my house!
  11. Could you buy a decaf diet coke and let it go flat?
  12. Stalls suck! I try to end them by increasing my water intake and being extra careful about waiting 2 hours minimum between meals and snacks- I can easily backslide into light grazing and those calories add up. Hang in there!
  13. Congrats to everyone who had met the challenge goal or is getting close or making progress- holiday season is an especially hard time to stay on track so I think we all deserve an extra pat on the back.
  14. 187. Hating this stall...
  15. Try a squatty potty - amazon sells them.
  16. I am almost 5 months out and finding it hard to stay on track lately too. Bored of my "go to" healthy foods and feeling less restriction at this point. I am trying to up my exercise to compensate for being less disciplined with eating.
  17. 188 this week. Sweet tooth got the best of me.
  18. Can I still join? My weight on 11/7 was 192. My goal for the end of the challenge is 185. thanks!
  19. great thread! I definitely find it's harder to keep losing now that I am 4.5 months post-surgery. I have to just remind myself to stick the fundamentals- protein first, no drinking before or after food, and (hardest for me) no grazing!
