Hello,
I am 9 days post op. First I want to tell you. You will be fine. The first 3 days post op for me was the worst the days ever. Until I pushed myself to have a consistence regimen. Starting day 4 I woke up took my anti acids med. then drink hot tea to get ride of the gas, I then drink the Protein shake because in our nutrition class, we were taught that Protein is important for ( healing , hair loss prevention ect.) I must say since day for I have been stronger.
I hope my story help.

I have been sipping on Water non stop. I am really trying to keep myself hydrated. I was told that the first week or so post op it is most important to try and get down Protein and Water and avoid eating if you feel you can't do it. Does that sound right to you guys? I was sleeved on 11/20/13 and am still dealing with the gas pains... any early post op advice would be greatly appreciated!!
Hi, Adamfishaa,
I was told the same thing. I remember the nutritionist saying Protein intake will help you from losing your hair. liquid in general will help you from getting dehydrated.
By the way, I too sleeved on November 20th 2013.

Hello all, This is a message from (how I feel right now ) food hater. I had my surgery on 11/20/2013. Today is day 4 and I must say every day is getting better. I am able to tolerate more liquids. No nausea, spitting or vomit.
I do have one concern. My throat feels really tight. I have to take really deep breaths in order to breath. Does that seem normal? One other concern I have is, I haven't received a call from my surgeon or anyone on his team to see how I am doing/? do I have any complaints? can they help me with something? I called on Friday to ask a question gas. No call back.
What do you guys/or gals think?

I sleeved on 11/20/2013. All I can put down is sugar free popcicles. Can anyone tell me if, this sudden tightness in my chest every other hour is from gas or complications?
