Hi Everyone, I went to my first Mauri meeting last night, I was really impressed.....I was actually comfortable. I dreaded having to go where I didnt know anyone, but everyone was really friendly, and I look forward to future meetings. Today I went for my pre op, and I am a go for Thursday. I am scheduled for 7 am. and if everything goes well, I was told I can go home by 3:30 same day.....God I hope everything goes well. This is my first time, in the hospital, since my kids were born 33 years ago. It is also my first surgery ever... I can do this....I know I can.....sighhhhhhhhhh

Maybe cuz, I am not there yet.....But I await the day I don't have to shop in plus sizes.... Chin up, enjoy.....

Hi Jasper, Thanks for the info, I am going to be in Middletown tomorrow late afternoon, so I will go to Mauri's right from there. I called her on Friday, she said the meeting was going to be held at the Orange Inn, because she has so many people. I hope to meet you there... Thanks, Jorjet

Hi, I am going to Mauri's Meeting on 4/18, its my first meeting.....do you find them informative? I am hopefully getting banded on 4/21.....I too had to lose 10 pounds.....I just bought a new scale, looks like I only lost 5......I sure hope I can get the other 5 off by 4/19 which is my pre op date... I hope to meet some of you at the meeting...

Hi Everyone, I live in Newburgh, NY, I am using Dr. Kwon too. My date is April 21st. I would like to go to support meetings too. If anyone lives near the Newburgh -Beacon Bridge let me, know... I have no problem driving, I just thought it would be better to go with someone. Thanks

Here are a few questions......any answers? 1) How long before you feel ok? 2) What do they give for pain? 3) Does insurance pay for the skin removel later? 4) How long before you can return to work? Thanks for any help you can give me. p.s. Does anyone chat in the chat room here?

I am at 274.5 I would like to go down to 140 pounds.:banana I really am curious if you can set a goal weight and stop there.... I have seen some people who got SKINNY.......I dont want that, I just want to walk, and be able to breathe, I am 5'2, and look like a rolly polly. Anything, anyone can tell me is appreciated. thanks for replying.
