Hello,
I'm new to this site and having my surgery on the 11. I was wondering which Protein shakes are the best out there with maximum Protein yet low in carbs and sugar.....I would really appreciate your suggestion as I'm not sure which one to go for.
Also what is the recommended grams of protein you are suppose to take with the band each day?
Thanks guys

Wow!!! A big congratulation to you.... How did you manage to lose so much in such a short time.... What did you do in terms of eating and exercising.....,
You are such an inspiration as I myself is due to have my band fitted on the 11th. Before my pre-op I was 284lbs but I'm currently 272lbs, losing 12lbs in 7 days.....
Thanks for sharing you story... Do you use my fitness pal so I could add you for support...
Regards

I'm being banded on the 11th. Only my husband knows that am being banded...
I have three children from the age of 5 to 8 months.... I'm so nervous, but I also know that without this surgery am scared of how much more weight I may put on...
I am currently 284lbs 5,8ft but since starting my pre-op diet on the 26th I've already lost 9lbs and currently stand at 275lbs.....
I don't know whether to set myself a goal target cause it feels so far away....
Good luck everyone

NFC plaCongrats and good luck! I was just banded on Monday and my doc had me on a two week "slim fast diet". Protein shake morn, afternoon and a simple dinner do (usually chicken and greens). It seems to vary by doctor. By reducing the fatty liver, they can move it out of the way and get to your stomach easier. Also I think the two week pre-op has made the post op easier. What did your doc have you do?
