3. Hi, I'm Stephanie and I was sleeved May 7, 2014..

I started at 255 and today I am 188. I feel good that I have lost 67 lbs. in off my meds, I have gone from a size 18 to a size 12 (12s are getting baggy) and I have a lot more energy.

However. For the last 3 months I have been loosing like 3-5 lbs a month. And it fluctuates.

I don't exercise (I know your gonna tell me I have to) I cheat with chocolate a few times a month. But for the most part I have changed everything! No fast food, sodas, fried food, grease.. What gives?

  4. your surgeon Is being irresponsible. Not all Dr's are professional and honest. the foreign object argument is dumb as tmf explained excuse me but you lose a huge portion of your stomach when you are sleeved so it's pick your surgery wisely. the sleeve is relatively new and bypass is a drastic surgery so it's not a matter of big or little it's a matter of choosing what you feel is best for you.

    Your right.....

  5. Hello,

I am 5 months out on October 7th an am down 62 lbs..

Last month I started loosing hair. Tons of it. Luckily I have a lot of hair but it's annoying when my back is covered in my hair every day. I pull it out in the shower and when I brush it. It's awful and annoying.

I knew this would happen.. I know there are threads on this but I'm looking for some fresh perspectives on how long this lasts???

I have been taking Biotin and Multivitamins since before surgery. I get 60 grams of Protein in a day and wash my hair with good Hair loss shampoo...

I just wanna know how long?!?!?

  6. My surgery was May 7th and I'm down 60 lbs and about 2 weeks ago I started loosing hair.. It seems like a lot to me but I do have a lot of hair and it's shoulder length so I hope it does not show too much. I always exceed my Protien and have taken Biotin this whole time so yeah... Nothing is gonna stop it. If your the chosen one your the chosen one... Sucks...

  7. Dr. Eslami at Slimlife Solutions in south Sacramento was really great! The team is so motivating and knowledgeable. They are awesome!!! Dr Eslami is no nonsense and knows his stuff. I have Blue Shield HMO and had my surgery at Methodist Hospitol and it was a wonderful experience. I am 4 months out and down 56 lbs! I was so scared to go through with my sleeve but Dr. Eslami made it flawless.

  8. DaddyMarie. ....50 pds. gone after only 3 months is super exciting! I believe you will totally hit your goal of 140. Please keep us updated.

Thanks for all the stats and encouraging pics....they are all very impressive.

It is hearing the success stories from all of you people that keep me excited and motivated for my own weight loss journey coming up next month.

I haven't even started and am so happy at the prospect of recognizing myself in the mirror again! I avoid them at all costs now. I think any substantial weight loss will make me happy. I broke my back in 2 places 3 years ago and put on a substantial amount of weight. ....my bback hips, and knees, not to mention my swollen ankles will be overjoyed to not have to carry around excess poundage.

I have also made up my mind to ONLY weigh once a month. That will keep me positive cause any amount of weight loss will make me happy but a stall for 2 or 3 weeks might discourage me.

Please keep the success stories, pics, and updates coming. You ALL are my heros!

    Thank you!!
