I had surg 3 June and felt great after a week And started cleaning . Started waking longer distance also. Then found one of incisions came open and is oozing blood. Anyone else have this? I called dr and they were not to concerned. I since have taken it easy. I have not gone back to work because I'm a cat scan tech and it's a very physical job. I'm worried about infection also.

I'm almost 3weeks out and was feeling good And started doing a lot more around the house and now one of my incisions is open. Called Dr and they didn't seem to concerned as long as drainage does not smell bad they said it's ok . Anyone else have this problem? Now my husband has me in the recliner and doesn't want me doing anything but walking .

My surgery day was 3june having a weight stall also . By what I've read on other threads this is normal time. Hopefully will pass soon! I've tried not to weigh every day but it's hard.

I'm now 2 1/2 weeks post op. Feel pretty good. Still have pain in left side every now and then. I'm on soft foods and have found it harder to get in liquids with not drinking for 1hr after eating. I'm in a 7 day stall wt loss so far 13 lbs since surgery. Hopefully will get through soon. Trying to up Water intake but can't seem to get there yet. Increased my exercise hoping that may get me past this. I know from everyone's post this is normal but still bothers me when I have someone asking me how much I've lost this week. (Husband ). Then he asked why I haven't lost more. He may get hit with something soon!

I'm 2 weeks out and have been feeling pretty good. Just started soft foods today. I've lost 11 lbs but at a 5 day stall so far. Battling Constipation and never had that problem before. I'm glad to see stall is normal because their is no way I can't lose weight taking in 600 cal a day. Your post was my 2 weeks and I feel encouraged that things get better. It's depressing to be on liquids and not see any scale move. Glad there is hope that eventually it will move.

I'm 5 days post and tried a Protein Drink and felt a lot of pressure . It's the first time I've felt like I had filled up pouch.. Wondering is this normal or should I wait another couple of days before I try again. I've just been on Clear Liquids.< /p>

Had surgery yesterday at 730 A they found a small hernia so repaired that also. Yesterday was a ruff day . Had lots of pain some from hernia repair and was chest pain. Then incision on left is the most painful. I got to come home this AM . I needed to because I got no sleep at hospital between taking vitals and blood sugar and Helprin shots and insulin shots. Today I ate some broth from wonton Soup from peiwei. It tasted great. Overall 2nd day a big inprovement. I have had no pain meds since 7A and husband went to pick up so that should make me feel better and sleep some more.

I start liquid diet on 27 may and surgery is 3 June . I'm at that point of realizing this is really going to happen. Started this process in October . Went and did pre-op blood work Friday.

I found a new drink called bai5 has 10 cal per bottle and it is sweetened with Stevia. It is anitioxidant infusions and my favorite is peach and mango. If anyone finds where you can purchase by the case let me know. I was thinking of mixing unflavored Protein Powder in with it for post surgery. They are a little pricey but taste far better than crystal light.

I'm thinking I dont want cafeeine withdrawl and start liquid diet at the same time. So far I think I'm the first date of the group. Looking for a buddy around 3 June.

I'm going on very low carb starting today to get A1c as low as possible. Ive been on 3 diabetes meds Levemir 100 units, Januvia, and metformin. Still had A1c of 12 . Im worried they will put off surgery till is lower. Is there anyone that has experienced a delay because of this. This is the main reason i'm getting the surgery to get off meds.

I didn't have any problem with Cigna paying my short term disability in fact they approved for 6 wks and I went back in 4 wks . I could not return to work with weight lifting restrictions . I would call your short term provider and ask them.
