Im 49 and I was worried I was too old to expect a 100lbs or more weight loss. Now I know it can be done. How did you do it?
walking,running,weights? I had to have both knees replaced so walking is about all I can handle right now. You are a great inspiration to us all. Thanks for sharing.

Later in grade school I started to pack on the pounds. And I just kept growing, my first wife was a farm girl so it was meat and potatoes every night, along with some fresh baked cake or bars. i gained 60 lbs in 9 years. Then divorced and gained some more, changed jobs more weight, had knees replaced and topped the scales at 368 now its time for the sleeve.

Your husband will come around when he sees how happy you are. Sometimes there is a fear, that with the new you comes new friends. My wife said to me once that shes a bit worried I will look for a new wife when I start to lose weight. I keep reassuring her this is for her as much as it is for me.
Stay strong and stay with this forum theres a ton of great people here for support and help.

I'm just curious as to what they base that off of? I mean at what weight do they say you need to loose weight for the surgery? Do they all say that? Why do they want you to loose? It confuses me!!
I don't think I could quote the doctor but it had to do with my BMI and shrinking my liver. Based on what I read here each doctor has a different set of guide lines some require a liquid diet pre op, and some don't just lose the weight.

Found this site a couple days ago, and decided to become a member. Lots of info here and many more people willing to share it. I see surgeon tomorrow, and hope to get a surgery date.
