  1. It is a support/diet/fitness program that all of Dr. Goldstein's patients use. Where are you in this wonderful journey?
  2. trust me...I'm not telling anyone! haha...I'm just concerned that I am not :jumpstarting" my metabolism. I am having my first fill next week...and can only imagine that tightness in the morning is going to be worse
  3. ok...I have NEVER been a Breakfast person....and I'm still not now! I wake up at 5am do a 2 mile walk...am in work at 7...and eat lunch at 10:15... should I force myself to eat something. I've read about "jumpstarting" my metabolism...I just am not interested in eating anything that early...
  4. I am consuming 1000 or less everyday and burning at least 400 a day. Any opinions on this? I am 6weeks postop and have lost at least 1lb every week...
  5. Anyone go to New Beginnings program in Voorhees, NJ?
  6. Loving Leslie Sansom's walking DVD...I'm walking 2 miles every morning rain or shine...and I'm loving it. I plan on adding in some night workouts as well. Not sure what to do yet....want some type of hip hop aerobics...anyone have good ideas???
  7. Trixie I'm gonna be right there with you. Had my check up today...doctor approved me for a fill...but his nurse is a moron. I have to wait for her to do all the paperwork...and she takes FOREVER! Once that is complete she wil call me for a fill...right now they are booked up till the second week in Feb...so by the time she calls (I will say at least 2 weeks) I won't be scheduled till the end of February. I have come up with a requirement for any future surgeons that I may have...I will not use them unless they (and their nurse) have had the surgery themselves! haha...this way they know what it feels like an how frustrating it is!
  8. I have been doing a 1 mile walk every morning...picked up to a 2 mile walk this morning! Feeling great...so psyched!
  9. Try bacon bits...little better for you...but still all the flavor! I use it in eggbeater omelets!
  10. DandyDeb...looks like we are twins...looks like we were banded the same date..have lost the same amount of weight...and looking to lose the same amount of weight. I am looking forward to my appointment next week...and am REALLY looking forward to my fill. Won't get that until after 6 weeks...but I want to see the scale moving more...guess I'm being greedy! Are you excercising at all? I am walking in the morning...waiting till the appointment to see if I can do more. Where are you eating wise? What is your diet like right now?
  11. Thanks...this looks great
  12. I was banded Dec 19th...I am down 22.2lbs. I am walking 7 days a week and keeping my calories below 1000. I have an appointment next Tuesday with my surgeon...he will determine whether a fill is necessary at that time...oh it is necessary! I am doing good...but feel like I could be doing so much better! Need more restriction...right now I'm working more on willpower.
  13. Started my daily workout early..started on Sun instead of Monday.
  14. Just curious about others experience...anyone a Goldstein patient? I had some specific questions about fills and other timelines...thanks
  15. My goal is to be at 175 by February 19th. I have been walking three days a wekk...I plan on doing five days a week starting Monday. I plan to keep my calorie intake low to help reach my goal.
  16. I had surgery on Dec 19th...the Wednesday before our xmas break...I went into work on that Friday...a half day...made it through....barely. I probably only made it through because we just had a holiday party and movie for my class. Started to feel better over the weekend...and then monday I looked like someone smashed bricks over my head! I was tired exhausted and could have NEVER been at work. Give yourself time...and expect the unexpected! I definetly thought I would be a suregery on Wed...back on Monday kind of person. So I'm really fortunate that I did schedule it before a break...I definetly needed the time!
  17. Read this on here...thought it was crazy...but the results don't lie!!! I have not lost a strand of hair since I started this. Use regular head and shoulders shampoo and intensive care head and shoulders. Alternate every day...regular...intensive...regular...intensive...so on I SWEAR it has worked for me!
  18. Love it! Haven't used it since banding...but used it before. My son is four and he loves it! We have such a good time with the Wii. Bought it last year for my fiance for Father's Day...so we have had it for a while...but it just doesn't lose it's touch...it's great! Wait till you see the foot pad they are coming out with next fall...you can do yoga and soccer...can't wait!
  19. I am so psyched about this post...want to talk to people at the same stage as me. My name is sharon...I'm from Blackwood NJ. I am a high school special education teacher. I have a four year old son. I was banded by Dr. Goldstein on December 19th. I am 5 foot 2 inches amd started this journey at 216lbs...I'm currently at 195. I'm down 21 lbs total...13 since banding. I am using a walking video 3 mornings a week and using a pedometer to note daily steps. I am keeping my calories under 1000 a day. I am scheduled for my first fill Jan 29. So excited...want some more restriction...cause right now I'm truly working on willpower right now. So glad to be here!
  20. I'm a cheerleading freak. I have been a part of it since I was five. I am a coach now...and it consumes my life...and I LOVE IT! I put so much time and effort into my team and my program...and I have no regrets for doing so...it's so much fun...little crazy at time...but it's great!
  21. Did you have to leave your surgeons office to do the swallow...or do they do it there? I'm confused
  22. I am 3 weeks postop. I have my surgeons suggestions...just curious...what was your daily calorie intake at 3 weeks?
  23. Funny that you say that...I have been trying to stay away from the soft stuff...it does nothing to satisfy me and I don't want to waste my calories on that! I want to thank everyone again for your input.
