I too have my surgery the 8th! Good luck to you!
I have my surgery date, January 8 at St. Vincent's Southside (formerly St. Luke's and half the city still calls it that). I'm both excited and nervous. My mom gave me a lovely Ninja blender for Christmas for making Protein Shakes. I had been making do with an immersion blender she gave me years ago when she upgraded to a nicer one, which is how I have half my kitchen implements. I start my preop diet in the morning. Best of luck to everybody, and I hope y'all had a good Christmas if you Celebrate it.

My surgery is scheduled for January 8. Getting a little nervous and excited at the same time. Just need the nutrition and Psychic consults the end of December. I can't wait to have energy to play with my granddaughter and able to walk our 5 mile trail again. My support is mixed, so I'm trying to educate to doubters and concerned. I had knee replacement in October and really found out how hard it is to move around with the extra weight. I'm at 327 and want to get down to 165 - 185.
Good luck!

I just did mine a fee days ago. I had to answer 190 questions on a computer, that was than any lied by the computer. I then talked to the therapist for about 20 minutes. I was also very candid. It was suggested that I plan on attending the support group every month.

My name is April. I have been wanting to do this for years. I started my journey this month. I have a new job, and my insurance covers the sleeve just like any other surgery!! I am so excited and nervous. I don't have to do much to get ready. Must a psych consult, 1 nutrition class, and some lab work mm that's it! I am hoping to have it done by the end of November or sometime in December.

You all should check with your doctors. A risk of surgery and traveling is blood clots.
