  2. That is fantastic! Had my surgery 4/15..starting weight 242lbs. .5 wks. Down 11 lbs. .it's very slow. .but I'll take it. Cause I couldn't lose weight at all before. Especially with hypothyroidism.
  3. It's very true what you said. .losing slowly, our skin will look a little better. .giving it time to catch up. Will be 5 wks tomorrow. .down 11 lbs. .that's extremely slow. But then again I do have hypothyroid and I haven't been able to lose weight pre sleeve. Slow is better than nothing. Hope I see a change on the scale soon.

  7. I'm looking into birth control methods. Nuvaring or depro shot. I know with wls we are releasing rapid dosage of estrogen. Nuvaring has both estrogen and progesterone. Which one you ladies are currently on? Double dosage of estrogen. .I will really become crazy. ..lol

  10. I've been so disappointed, Frustrated, discouraged. Today marks 3wks post op . only down 8lbs. Just want to cry. .keep thinking I took such a big risk to have wls and it's not working. Especially sad since family was not for surgery and now it is showing the risk wasn't worth only 8lbs lost.
  11. Heck no I didn't tell anyone. .only family, but they were against it. I stuck to my plans, cause I was the one feel the knee pain and the low self esteem affect of being overweight. I hated the way I look. Tired ALL The Time No Energy , can't play in yard with my boys. I got tired of the way I look and how I felt. I'm only going on 3wks post op, losing very slowly, but I'm dealing with it..starting weight was 242lbs. .down only 6lbs..but I lost soooo much inches already. .I can actually for once in a very long time look forward to summer. Didn't tell friends, coworkers. .HECK NO..
  12. Omg..you guys are doing fab!..my weight loss is extremely slow. I at times believe I will be the unlucky one that wls will not work for. .surgery 4/15 242lbs, only down 6 lbs. .very frustrated

  15. Dreading go back to work almost. .work 12 hrs shift. .I decided to part time when I return. .night shift starting to take a toll on me. Plus the weird sleeping pattern mess with biological internal clock..and working night shift ages people fast. that's what I was told and I feel old..not even 40yrs old. Plus during my psychological evaluation the therapist also mentioned how weight and health affects us working night shift. And I should look in the near future to switch to day shift. I know that, but when he mentioned it ..it really confirmed it for me.
  16. I work in a hospital 12 hrs shift at night. I took 4wks off. .really wish I could take 6wks...miss staying home :-(

  19. Thanks I really needed to hear that, I'm almost 2wks post op and only lost 8lbs. My surgery weight was 242lbs. Don't know if it's because I'm not eating enough Protein shakes and drinking enough water. .can't stand the taste of water anymore. I decided to buy zero Vitamin water so far was able to drink it all yesterday. Starting to think I will be one of the unlucky people WLS won't work for..Plus my abdomen still feel bloated all this time. Good for my post op Monday. Hope to get some answers. .feeling defeated!
  20. Frustrated only lost 8lbs almost 2wks post op..don't know if it's because I'm not drinking enough protein/eating enough or not drinking water. .really feel like I could possibly be one of the people WLS don't work for :-(
