I'm by Surprise. Had my surgery Feb 17. Doing really well.

I'll be able to have salads and everything but not for a few months. The Dr wants the stomach to heal completely.

I'm not allowed to eat beef etc. Sorry for the typo.

I was on a clear liquid diet 1 wk after surgery. After the post op class I am now allowed to eat beef, pork or lamb for 2 mo's. No salads, Pasta, bread or raw vegetables. I can have all fruit (big ones skin peeled off) soft vegs, chicken, turkey, fish, Beans etc. I am 3 wks out today and feel good. Every Dr has their own plan for eating. I'm glad mine is not as restrictive as some. Good luck on your weight loss journey.

You could try Bariatric Advantage Crystals that you mix with water. The gummies people suggested work well too. You MUST have vitamins. Your health depends on it. Good luck I hope you find some that work for you.

Did I learn what sliming is. I was on the phone while eating dinner and didn't pay attention to how much I was eating. Suddenly I knew I ate too much. I was so uncomfortable and went into the bathroom and this slime came up on me. Then I threw up a little 2x and felt better but also said to myself, self you learned your lesson this time to PAY ATTENTION to what and how much you are eating. Goes to show your never too old to learn what NOT to do. Just my 2 cents for this evening. Hope everyone is doing well.

Amazing how our bodies overrule our dumb thinking. Rest is the best thing for healing. I'm glad you have a good boss and you are taking the time off to recuperate. I'm18 days out and need a nap some days. Listen to your body and your doctor. A yr from now you'll be healthier, happier and a lot thinner. The Cubs have a new Spring Training facility named Riverview Park here by Phoenix. The Sox have a nice facility here also. Got to go to the crosstown game here last year. Sox won. Good luck and hang in there, it does get better.

Try to go see a counselor. Talking to an independent person is invaluable to relieve stress and help you through this. If you don't get ahold of this your lack of liquid and food will end you up in the hospital. Please get help. Good luck

I would suggest keeping a datebook w/her comments and the date she said them. Just in case it escalates and you want back up if you have to go to HR. I'm sure she doesn't say these things in front of others. Good luck and your going to look amazing when you hit goal.

I'm 12 days out and the only thing I can say is try gasx strips but in reality it's just going to take time to work it's self out. I can't believe your Dr would let you go back to work a couple days post surgery. IMHO I think it is too soon. Hope everything goes well for you

I have a humidifier by my bed and a bottle of water. I wake up during the night w/a dry mouth and take a sip of water. I'm hoping as I loose more weight that this will stop. I've tried breathe right strips for the nose that sometimes helps. Why this happens I really don't know but it is worse if I sleep on my back.

SJ I sure hope by the time you read this post you are feeling better. I wonder if pulling on those boots didn't do it. Call your Dr's cell phone. It is NOT normal to have that much pain. Please keep us updated.

No one can make you have a good time. You feel the way you think about it. Be grateful you were able to have the surgery and how healthy and great you are going to be soon. Stop whining, get out of the corner and go mingle and enjoy.

I'm 11 days out of surgery and got my allergy shot yesterday. I missed the past 2 wks due to surgery. No problems so far.

Hey Jencovi, Sorry to hear your having sleeping problems. Im 9 days out and sleeping ok. Get up 2x a night but that's normal. Everything is going really good. The Doctors had 3 sisters in CA who got the gastric sleeve. The 1st part of the show was tanning and sun skin cancer. The sleeve was the 2nd part and showed the surgery. 3rd part of show was about non surgical face lift. It was a pretty good representation of the sleeve.

It gave enough info I think to get people interested. And they mentioned how they are cooking and eating healthy with exercise. My BP is normal since surgery a week ago. I'm so glad I had this done.

The Doctros tv show had 3 sisters who got the sleeve in CA. Showed part of the surgery. It is the 2nd part of the show after the skin cancer from the sun and before the non surgical face lift part. Pretty good representation of the sleeve.
