  1. Hi everyone!! I am new to the site and was sleeved on 11/4. I am down 11lbs and feeling pretty good. I still have some small cramping pains and difficulty sleeping at night, but overall can't complain. My Dr still has me on a clear liquid diet for the 1st week and Monday I go for a 1 week post-op check up and will advance to a full liquid diet, so looking forward to that! I like reading everyone's posts, as it makes me feel like I'm not alone. I had my surgery in Minnesota, at Park Nicolette, they have a fabulous team to work with. Very excited for my new beginnings. Look forward reading your posts and chatting with everyone!!

  2. Hi, that is a question I had to, but being a type 2 diabetic and on bp meds, I had to do something other than the yo yo diets I had been on for many years. My family Dr. had been suggesting surgery for several years and finally this past February I got serious about it when I started experiencing numbness in my hands and feet! I had surgery just this Monday, nov 4th and I am off my bp and diabetic meds!! It's such a great feeling and I am down 9lbs already. You are making the right decision. I wish you the best and if there's any questions I would be happy to answer if I can. Best of luck to you!!

  3. Just had surgery on Monday, November 4, 2013. The morning of the surgery I weighted in at 212 lbs and got on the scale this morning and was down 6 lbs!! I am on a clear liquid diet for a week and then 11/7 meet with the bariatric nurse and if all goes well will move onto the full liquid stage. I look forward to using this site as a support system; as well as, a reference site for suggestions and recipes. I was a type 2 diabetic taking oral meds. But no loner am taking them and hope to be off my bp meds as we'll soon. Very excited newbie!!!
