  1. Congrats girl, your doing great keep us posted and some pics too!
  2. All I have to say is girrrrl you've changed and that is not a bad thing! Your feeling great looking great and have more energy to do things you probably didn't do in a long time which seems weird to hubby because he hasn't seen you so interested in doing these things in a while! I think y'all should talk a nice deep convo and get your points out and see what's really bugging your hubby! But don't feel bad you want to live now and don't feel criticized, we torture ourselves in our chubby suits and when we finally take it off we deserve to flaunt our happiness with ourselves! Take care hun!
  3. Congrats and good luck with everything girl! Keep us posted!!!!
  4. Congrats and wishing you a speedy recovery!
  5. From what I have heard about the band were not good things at all, it makes you sick, puts you in the hospital and slips and not to mention altering it with fills... I dont know much about it but I wouldn't considerate it at all!!!! My doctor said I would need Rny because of my acid reflux and high risk of diabetes so I'm going with it! God luck to you on choosing what's best for you!
  6. Yes they are evil lil f*ckers lol... Hey I bought this book Alan carr - quit smoking the easy way and watch some of his videos on YouTube, they helped a bit, not yet done with the book though... Hope it works! Praying!!!!!
  7. Thanks your completely right girl!!!! I'm still going just haven't got there so I felt a lil down and discouraged today! Thanks for your encouraging words!
  8. It's seems so hopeless, I'm down to 3-4 cigs and I want to not want even 1!!!!! How did I allow myself to get controlled by this! I cannot let this stand in my way of my process and I am trying like really hard, I'm on zyban and the patch and try to keep busy but after every meal it's like clock work like a feen is all I think about until I just go do it... Guess I wasn't as ready as I thought I would be!!! I ordered a Newport ECG online I am still waiting for it. I'm going to see how that goes, wish me luck ladies... Oh and congrats to those who have kicked the habits you truly are strong individuals!!!!
  9. That sounds cool, congrats on your progress!
  10. Oh man sorry to hear your in pain, but glad you get to go home to your lil girl later on! Great to hear your doing well though, keep us updated on your progress hun!
  11. I'm glad to hear everything went great, I heard that gas is a killer! Hopefully you get to go home tomorrow good luck!
  12. I don't think so, my friend did bypass she had the iud so I dont know you might want to talk to your doctor about that hun!
  13. Yes but I personally think the band is just a temporary fix and the time u have to take to get fills or hospital er visits or perhaps getting it taken out to sleeve in the future seems pretty concerning also, it's up to you hun that's just my opinion
  14. Oh wow that's so great to hear, I'm glad you are doing well, here's to a speedy recovery!
  15. I am doing bypass because I am high risk for diabetes my blood sugar levels are super high and also I suffer from acid reflux which the sleeve enhances heart burn so that would not be a good decision. My doctor and I spoke it over and made that decision that would be the best option for me! Also you lose more weight then the sleeve although the sleeve has less complications, I don't recommend the band to my worse enemy... What do you plan on getting? I dont know if I made any sense or not but I really didn't put much thought into which surgery because I always knew I would go with bypass.
  16. Ok I see, well I hope everything works out for you soon. I have many many addictions like you too, they are hard but at least they're doable! I don't have a surgery date yet. I'm hoping for February after I get all my appts done so I'm still in the process with the nutritionist...
  17. Wow that's great! I hope you stay on track it seems like your very determined! I wish I had the willpower to just give it up like that... But I give myself credit for making some progress from a pack a day to 3-4 cigs a day now! So I will continue!!! Hey when are you having your surgery? Have you went to any appts?
  18. Thanks so much ladies for your support, I'm down to about 3-4 cigs a day... Hoping to progress from there... I'm already hating the smell but still have the hand/mouth need so I'm am making progress slowly but surely! I'm looking forward to being smoke free and not have to worry about another pack again! Here's to living healthier'
  19. Hey we got to enjoy life before we trade in our chubby coats and soda and cigs and sugar and food and the list goes on and on lol haha but it's all worth it!
  20. Yea they have all sorts over here in nyc but the menthol taste horrible to me maybe cuz I wanted a Newport lmao and I'm really not one of the fruity type... But on that website they even have Pepsi lol smh for ppl who need to quit soda! And marijuana the list goes on
  21. I mean hey if your doc doesn't have a problem operating even though you smoke that'll make it easier, but my doc said she will not operate if we smoke. I ordered from e-cig.com I found a Newport one, still waiting for it to come in the mail... Let's see how that goes
  22. They say to quit smoking at least 2 months prior to surgery... If you do smoke while having surgery you could catch pneumonia or have trouble breathing so the doctors don't operate if they find nicotine in your system, they test you before surgery to find out!
  23. I have really been trying here! I wore the patches and tried those ecigs and now I'm on Zyban to help me quit... It just seems hopeless and it doesn't help that my fiancé smokes... I don't know exactly when is my surgery, hopefully feb/mar but I'm getting a lil head start just so I get healthy and lower my risk during surgery. I am really trying but after 10 years of smoking 100s cigarettes and never even had the desire to stop until now it just seems so hard... I dont know... Did anyone have any issues? If so how far before surgery did you try and stop?
  24. Oh wow congrats for you and good luck on Friday... Keep us posted on how your feeling
