  1. I just cannot believe the miracle that this surgery has been. I truly feel blessed because I have not had a single problem, have lost 60 lbs in 3 months & i have finally found the confidence to leave a terrible man & start living my life. I feel like a new person! Pre-op weight & date: 323/Oct. 15 20013. Today: 261! I hope that life continues to be wonderful!

  2. Yes...thank you so much for the encouragement and kind words. Its definitely making this easier. Ranee....your weight loss is awesome!!! I'm so motivated by that. Btw...you look amazing!

Janifer...I'll definitely keep everyone posted on the loss, struggles & successes. I think this site is super supportive! Congrats on ur upcoming surgery. I will tell you, I was so scared right before mine but I am so glad I went through with it. The pain was nothing compared to the pain I feel in my hips and knees everyday. I didn't even take any pain medicine want I got out of the hospital. That's what I was most scared of was the pain . Today I weighed myself and I was 301 lbs. That's 14 lbs down since my surgery 9 days ago! Its amazing how it just comes off. I am seeing the loss in my face and neck, thighs and tummy. I'm just so so glad I went through with this. You'll do wonderful! :)

  3. Well, Dr. Roller said that most of his patients can go back to work within a week or two. I am a counselor and sit on my behind all day so I think it's okay. I was sitting at home just craving food and pinning a hundred recipes a day so I figured the distraction would be good. Plus....I'm poor and Christmas is sneaking up on us!

  4. Hi everyone. I had my Lapro RNY last Tuesday at about noon. I am back to work today and feeling great. I am struggling a little with the high Protein clear liquid diet that my doctor has put me on for two full weeks (and three days). I'm not finding it hard to get the required liquids in...just getting really bored and being mentally challenged with breaking the addiction to food. I'll admit, the surgery DOES NOT end your desire to eat...NO NO, it does not. Last night, my husband made sushi and I cried, for a long time. I just wanted to eat something...anything. But, I made it and I have a feeling that it will get easier. I I hope so at least.

At my pre-op appt. I weighed 323. The day of my surgery (5 days later) I weighed 315. Today I am at 305, one week out. Is this good? I guess ten pounds in a week is pretty good considering I've never been able to do that on my own but I don't really know what to expect.

Here's what I'm "eating": Physicians Specialty chocolate dream protein (with skim milk) and Unjury chicken Soup flavored Protein Powder with warm Water. sugar free Jello, Powerade Zero, & Chicken broth (low sodium). Yep, that's it. Pitiful! ;)

I'm excited about what the future holds and I've already had to get rid of a few pairs of jeans. It was an odd feeling to put on denim and it be baggy. But woo hoo!!!!
