No meds is that with you taking meds? It sounds perfect but it could be dropping below that with meds ! Glad I reminded you! I have a blood pressure machine on the way!

Hello redstart How is the reflux doing and how are you doing post op?

I was on bp, cholesterol, five shots of insulin a day! I have not taken any meds since hospital! My bp was lower than normal while in hospital and my sugars are good! Highest has been 134 but that was after I took shower and in pain!

Hey Jackie I am mostly a side sleeper but found sleeping on my back more comfortable! You will get to sleep eventually on your stomach but I can tell you you will not want to do so after surgery! -
I.thought perhaps I was falling behind on what I should be doing! I am not sure how old you are but I am 47 so I give myself a little leeway! Lol. I will let you know how my dr visit goes!

Excited and jealous! (No really) I am stalled at 20 lbs but I am not walking treadmill! I am walking in stores etc! I have to shop this weekend so I am gonna prolly be sore and hurt but that's what pain meds for ! I have dr appt tomorrow so will ask about my bms also!

Philip s so glad all went well with surgery! I am a week post op now and still on liquid diet but will be updated on puréed foods tomorrow and can't wait to see how my tummy reacts! I have not had any regrets since having this done! Good luck to you! -
Bobby is this a full liquid diet after surgery? If so what are you eating? I have bought different soups and just ate the juice! My cousin made an awesome potatoe soup just ate liquid no taters! I drink decaf tea , sf popcicles,! You have the need to chew I understand I am a meat eater big time! Does that help?

I. Finally had a small bm today. I just have gas every time I eat. My pain comes from my right side instead of my left which I think is strange! I am one week post op tomorrow ! Going to get me some gas x strip in the am see how that works! I only have a pouch left due to other issues but I sis have at sleep elevated at first everything felt smushed

I agree that he cannot harass you like that and I would NOT put off my surgery especially after that! I am proud to say that my work family has been VERY supportive of me especially during that time! If you have an avenue for reporting him go for it! -

Mkmb and others I was diabetic on five shots a day , blood pressure meds etc! So far I have not taken an insulin shot or blood pressure meds since surgery! That should be some encouragement for some of you! I wish you well! -

Actually I had what I thought was a gastric leimyoma which was benign! I had a scope found out I had two more lesions in bottom of stomach! I opted to have all of stomach removed except my pouch ! Turns out it was a different tumor that can become cancerous later! I do not regret my decision to just have a pouch because I truly believe this saved me from cancer later down the road! -

Yes you will not feel hungry especially after the surgery! Remember all of the reasons you are doing this and bring it in perspective! Focus on your shakes and all you have to do day by day! -

Hey all I had my surgery December 11th with no complications! I am doing really well but extremely sore on the right side instead of the left! I am adjusting and on the mend and feel better than I did yesterday! I hope everyone's surgery went well and you are all mending! Remember everyone's body is different and reacts different! Hope to hear from all of my dec buddies. -

OK I am two days away from my surgery on Wednesday December 11th. I am nervous only because I don't know what to expect as far as pain. The unknown is what is making me nervous but then again I think that is how it is for everyone. It seems real to a point and then it seems like a dream..does that make sense? I am waiting for the hospital to call me to let me know when I need to be there. -

I am in day 8 of my Protein Shake diet. I am not that hungry in the mornings but by middle of afternoon and night I am ravenous. I have tried my Protein shake snack around 2 or 3 in pm and that seems to help. I find that my nerves and mood is decreasing steadily. Anyone else have this problem or is it just me?
