Week 9 post op. Down 43 pounds.
-
I was the same way. Couldn't use ice before. But now I need ice. I can take about 3 gulps too. But I am not hitting my water (or protein) goal. I keep trying. My surgery was 4/23 and I can finally gulp water! Maybe three good gulps at a time . For me though, my Water has to be ice cold. I hated ice before surgery and now without it, water makes me nauseous. I try and get 40oz at work and the rest at home plus 20oz of Protein Drink for Breakfast. Here's the thing, for the first few weeks, just do your best. It's so hard to drink or take pills or sleep. You just have to do what you can do and hang in there. Good luck! -MM

that's what I am thinking.Could it be an internal stitch poking out?
-
I have one poking out now too. Oh I am so glad you posted your question. I think it's a stich. I tried using tweezers and quickly stopped. Not a good idea. I am going to call my doc office today.

the spray helped me. I got it post op. Keep it on my nightstand. During the night I can reach over and get it. Dehydration is a major issue. Mouth dryness is bad in the middle of the night. Thanks so much… im going to look for the moisturizer spray tomorrow…im so thankful that I have found this site

I am going on 4 weeks post op. I have lose 32 pounds since starting pre op. And today my husband said I am lazy. He thinks I could have lose the weight with exercise and limiting how much I eat. I told him I did not have the Will power. He said we won't be able to go out and enjoy ourselves at a buffet. He has never had a weight problem. He is clueless. I asked him does he think we would have a better time out if I ate 3 plates of food than if I ate a small plate of food. He said no but he's just know getting it. He saw how much I ate tonight. He said that's not enough. I had almost 3oz. 3oz is my limit. My husband is clueless and non-supportive. I am glad we have an online support resources.

Thank you I feel like this week I failed so far one pound...[/quote. I am at 0 pounds this week. I understand. -
. I have lost 30 pounds. I have hit the 3-week stall. Recovery wasn't that bad. In the hospital for 2 nights. Feeling pretty well. Weighing food is a must for me. Eating to much is a killer. Hurts like ****.How did your surgery go? How r u feeling? How much weight have you lost and how bad is the recovery?

I did. But based on what other people have written I am not the norm. I have never vomited. However a few times I ate to much and then felt like I was going to die. Listen to your body. Don't over do it. I started soft foods at 2 weeks. I am starting week 4 tomorrow and I eat almost anything as long as it fairly soft. And I chew well

I told a small group of people that I was going to a NUT 6 months prior to surgery. It's true I was. I just left out the part about the surgery. I don't want to tell them specific. The other day someone did come in to my office and was blunt. "What are you doing". She is overweight her self. When I mentioned the NUT helped a lot. Which is true. She said oh. I won't do that.

I know it's hard to hear but...... It will pass. You have hit a stall. Once passed it the weight will just come off. Make sure you are getting your Protein and Water. That's all you can do at this stage.
