Hi tyt221b,
I've tried both. I prefer the taste of unjury. Premier is also very tasty and a bit more convenient. I haven't had surgery yet (I'm hoping April), but I'm trying to find what I Iike now so that I'm prepared for the pre-op diet and post op.
Hope that helps. Let me know what you think.

Hi Everyone!!! I live in Chandler and am waiting for insurance approval. I'm working with Banner Gateway in Gilbert and Dr. Podkomeni. Dr. Pod recommended bypass for me because I have acid reflux. I'm pretty sure surgery will be in April at this point as I have to do a 2 week liquid pre-op diet.
Would love to hear from others about your experience with the pre-op diet and what Vitamins you are taking.
Good Luck to everyone!!!!!

I heared from my 'care coordinator' today and they are submitting my paperwork for approval today. I'm hoping it goes fast. Getting pre-op blood work done tomorrow morning.....She said she is still scheduling for March, but since I also have to do a 2 week liquid diet, I'm thinking it will probably be early April. I'm freaking out a little. Just sayin.....

I totally agree with getting a 2nd opinion. Although, when I met with my surgeon, I was convinced the sleeve was the way to go for me. Since I have GERD, my surgeon highly recommended the bypass as the sleeve would only make it worse.

I'm hoping for an April date. I have all my diagnostic tests next Friday and then it gets submitted to the insurance for approval. That should go fast cause there aren't any requirements. I think it would be a miracle if it happened before April.

HI Nellie May!! This is a great thread and perfect timing for me. I'm hoping for surgery in April and I know that the mind games are coming and will be full force after surgery. My counselor really got down and dirty with me about my love affair with food. It took some hard work to get at the root cause. Since I have, I find it much easier to make better choices and I'm more confident that I'll be able to handle the head games.
Welcome!!

I'm glad you posted about UHC. There are very few requirements, I have more from my surgeon. I have one more psyche appointment and then the diagnostic testing. I'm hoping for March.

I've searched the site and couldn't find this topic. I'm scheduled for the O2 Uptake and I'm wondering what this is. Any feedback is appreciated.

I met with my PCP on Friday and he said that a lot of surgeons are not recommending the band anymore. Interesting!!!
