  1. My personal goal is to lose 140. Surgery is 12-16. I don't have the doc's official goal yet.
  2. On day three AND have a cold, so yes the energy is gone! However, the cold might be a blessing because it covers up the horrible taste of some of these protein shakes! Lol!
  3. Prayers for all the Dec 2nd sleevers! I was supposed to start my two week liquid diet tomorrow but went ahead & started today. I stocked up on about 4 or 5 different protein drinks so hopefully I will like one of them. Surprisingly, since I'm so overweight, I am a very picky eater. Not sure how well I'm going to do on this diet! Yikes!
  4. Welcome to all the new 16th sleevers! We are getting close! Excited and super scared all at the same time. Hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving filled with blessings & time with family/friends!!
  5. Hi Mainexplorer! I am also on 12-16 and start my liquid diet on 12-2. Sounds like we have similar diets but I can also have cream soups, oatmeal, and other liquids like V8. Around 800-900 calories. I too have never had surgery or any procedure. I am scared out of my mind!! I know I need to get healthy though and this is my start. Good luck on your journey!
  6. I went to my last PCP appt today (actually finished my 6-month supervised diet with PCP in Oct but due to delays with processing I had to keep going until surgery) and I was down another 14.5 lbs!! I've lost 33.5 lbs since starting this journey in March! Super excited for my Dec date to get here!
  7. I'm one day earlier, Dec 16. My surgeon is Dr. Gibbs in Little Rock, AR. I start my two week liquid diet on Dec 2. I am getting so nervous!!!
  8. I'm the day before, Dec 16! My surgeon is Dr. Gibbs in Little Rock, AR. I start my two week liquid diet Dec 2nd. I'm getting so nervous!!
  9. Welcome to all the newcomers!! Our group continues to grow but hopefully everyone's waistlines will continue to shrink!! ????
  10. No, we are staying in a condo about 5 miles from the park. This will be my first trip! I started exercising and eating smaller meals at the office for "the trip" but it also just happens to fit in perfectly with my surgery!
  11. Hi Tami j, I am trying to do just that-anything to keep me distracted!! Had an early Thanksgiving dinner her Saturday since we will be gone. We actually have a big family vacation planned for Thanksgiving week to Disney World! The trip is part of why I had to have surgery in Dec. I know things will work out. I have faith & a lot of prayers!
  12. Thanks Mel, so glad to know someone else is feeling this way. Hopefully we can get through this ride together! Do you have to do a liquid diet?
  13. For some reason I started getting extremely nervous the last day or so! I've been working towards WLS since April so I'm not sure why my nerves seem to have taken over. Surgery is still several weeks away (12-16) and my liquid diet starts 12-2 so I'm sure it will be a roller coaster till then.
  14. Had issues with it last night, just kept spinning. Very frustrating!
  15. First off, CONGRATS to you AltantaRed on getting your date!! And second, thanks for all the info on the site changes! You do a great job with this thread!
  16. Am I the only one that thinks about surgery, my new life, what it will be like after surgery, etc....ALL day long?!?! Is this normal? I have never had any type of surgery, heck I've never even had an IV, so maybe that's part of why my thoughts always drift to WLS. I can't seem to turn my mind off from the entire process!
  17. My surgery is on Monday (12-16) and I plan to take that whole week off and work just half a day the following Monday. I'll be off Tues & Wed for Christmas. I have a desk job so I'm hoping this is plenty of time!
  18. I'm excited to see there are so many in December. I sorta thought this group might be small with some not wanting to go through Christmas on soft or puréed food!
  19. Another Arkansas here....Dec. 16 with Dr. Gibbs. Very excited but very nervous too.
  20. Hello all! I have been lurking for at least a month so I finally decided to join the group. I'm happy to be a fellow December sleever! My date is 12/16. I started the process in April and finished up the 6 month requirements with my PCP in Sept. Of course, there were some delays but insurance approval was received last week. I had to put off surgery till December because we already had a family vacation planned for Disney World during Thanksgiving week. Let the stress, anxiety, fun times begin!!!
