Good Idea! Yes when losing weight it's easy to become a slave to the scale. There's so many other ways to know and feel yourself melting beside the number on that scale. I walked in my door the other night from celebrating my sweeties birthday, with hands full, and by the time i got in the house my pants were down to my knees. Yep another pair to give away. :) I have found that the tape measure is a better friend than the scale. If your going to be a scale stalker just remember th...

The day after is rough... not horrible, just rough. Day 3... discharge day you should feel much much better. I was super worried about the pain too! Make sure they give you that IV Tylenol. That **** works so damn good and I did not believe it would. Did we meet at one of the nutrition classes??? I feel like we met. You look familiar. P.S. Eat up while you can. All your favorites!!! It will be awhile b4 you can enjoy those again after surgery. You are gonna look awesom...

So glad to hear that you felt better leaving the hospital. That is my worst fear...being in pain and not having access to the good drugs.

Thanks! My best friend did bypass 4 years ago... she came over and spent hours with me today just prepping me mentally (we are both nurses). I am prepared for a little difficulty but I know there is no turning back.... I am so done being obese.

I'll sell you the 500$ juicer I bought after I watched it.lol that fad lasted about a week for me! Green juice is pretty nasty after the first couple of days

I actually love my green shakes! I make them in my cuisinart blender. Protein shakes with kale or spinach, frozen berries and cinnamon! I drink them everyday for breakfast. Well not now since I am on the pre op diet. So you don't like you Vitamix?

I bought a top of the line breville on an impulse purchase at Williams Sonoma. Of course now I have retired the juice attachment and have an overpriced blender.lol. I was just never able to find enough savory items that my taste buds liked. Most of the hardcore "green" fasting recipes were savory. Of course the one that you describe sounds delicious!
