  1. Heyyyyyy everyone ! I am looking for support! I was just revised from a sleeve to rny on Monday. 7/20/15 . I was sleeved on Feb 17,2014 and lost about 70 pounds. About 6 months in my weight loss basically stopped. After having an upper GI and endoscopy done, I was told that I had a hiatal hernia which caused most of my stomach ( which was sleeved) pushed up in to my chest cavity. The bottom part of my stomach was bloated. The surgeon explained that this was the cause as to why I was not loosing weight as well as having gerd symptoms. So Monday I had my surgery and I am feeling ok definitely in some pain and very tired. But it's nice to be home now to heal. I am looking for anyone who has been revised for support , I feel like our population is not very big

In the wls community , or maybe I just haven't found the right place! I know everyone's situation is different but I am curious to know about weight loss after revisions . Thank you all for reading! I am going to stop now as the pain meds are kicking in :)

  2. Hey all! I will be revised from my sleeve to gastric bypass on July 20th due to a pretty large hiatal hernia as well as gerd.. I have lost about 70 pounds and I am over a year out from the first surgery. I have heard the weight loss is slower the second time around and I am just curious on what the weight loss has been for others in a revision. Would love any feedback on weight loss!

  3. Hey girls I am just 5 months out and I am freakin stalled!! It is making me so frustrated because it made me second guess myself if I am doing everything right like with calories and protein! Glad to see it's not just me stalled at 5 months! I spoke to my dietician to make sure I was getting the right amount of calories and exercising enough so we will see! Just glad I am not alone

  4. Thank you for the advice I will def look into the carbs I didn't think I ate very many to begin with but I will def look! Today was very discouraging for me! I don't regret the surgery at all and I have lost so much already but it's just like really 1 pound again!! Ughhhh! And than to top

It off my hair is shedding like crazy when I wash it and pretty much all day long!! I am just having one of those days !! I work out 3-4 a week but I am gonna try to do more

  5. Hey everyone so I just need some advice or opinions! Today has been rough I am noticing I am shedding hair like crazy which makes me sad! I know that in the long run everything will be ok and hair grows back but man has it been tough! Also this is like the 5th week in a row where I am loosing a pound a week! Has anyone experienced anything like this? Should I be worried! I do see the doctor on Wednesday! But I just thought I would be loosing more a week

  6. Hey all! It's been a while since I have been on here but I am doing great! I am 55 pounds down! surgery was feb 17th! My question is that for the past three weeks I have lost a pound a week so 3 pounds in 3 weeks! I made sure I worked out this last week to kick start it! Am I doing something wrong ? Is it normal? Lol. I eat about 800-1000 calories daily but normally it's around 800 and get atleast 80 grams of Protein in! Would love any advice or tips :)

  7. Congrats on the weightloss!!! You're doing great! I don't know if you like chocolate but there are "no sugar added" fudgesicles. Also you can take pepperonis and microwave them til they're crispy and they're like chips. SJ had me try that minute maid 15 calorie lemonade and it tastes like a treat.

Ok seriously that turkey pepperoni saved my life! I had some left over from when I made a cauliflower crust pizza so I thought I would put it in the microwave like you mentioned! Soooo good! I have been missing a salty crunch! And the best thing with this is it has Protein in it! Great idea SJ!

  8. Hey everyone! Well I am officially 41 pounds down yay! Everything has been going well no real issues with getting food down clothes are getting big and others can notice a difference! It is still hard for me to see it except for my clothes!! So I started my time of the month :( so sad! Lol and let's just say Aunt flow is mad at me lol I really want something sweet and not a dang Protein Shake lol anyone have any suggestions for a low carb/low sugar choice?

  9. I too feel like I am a slow loser! I was stalled for a good two and a half weeks! I spoke to my surgeon about it on my month post op appointment and he told me I was not eating enough I was eAting roughly around 400 to 500 calories! He said my body was probably holding on to everything because it thinks it's in starvation mode! He told me to up my calories to about 700 and I should be ok . Which I did and I finally had a 3 pound loss!

    Sleeved 2/17/14

    Hw 336

    Sw 322

    Cw 303

I so badly want out of the 300s lol it's my goal this week.. crossing fingers!!

  10. So I got on the scale yesterday for my official three weeks post op and it hasn't moved at all! Starting to wonder if my scale isn't accurate or what! Started back to work yesterday which has been great but I get tired so easily!! Got home yesterday and was exhausted!! I hope everyone is doing well! Have an appointment with surgeon on Thursday hopefully the scale moves by then!! I have noticed clothes getting bigger so that's a good sign! I am at 30 pounds since 2 week diet and 16 since surgery

  11. Hey Jen I was thinkin about you, noticed you have been missing in action! Glad to hear you are doing great!! I am 2 and a half weeks out and doing well too! I had tuna the same way you had your chicken but to mine I added some plain Greek yogurt to add some extra Protein and it was yummy! Definitely beats the Protein Shakes :)

Everything I have tried as went down well , no issues. I love avocados as well! The only thing which I am wondering if it's normal is as I am eating sometimes my stomach cramps and than as the food passes it stops. It's nothin major I just don't know if I am not chewing enough although it seems like I chew for foreverrrrrr lol

  12. April I am constantly putting lotion on my hands and feet! I have been averaging a little over 48 oz of Water a day.

Is anyone at the mushy stage yet : refrained Beans fish mashed up , cottage cheese etc. how much should we be eating my notes from the dietician say from 2oz- 4 oz I have been trying to hit the 4 ounces mark each time because I want to get all the Protein I can. I am usually full when I am done and takes from 30 mins to an hour to eat

  13. I get to start my mushy food tomorrow woohoo! Scramble eggs, cottage cheese, Greek yogurt, fish , puréed vegetables and fruits. I am excited but nervous at the same time ! I can't wait for eggs it's been what seems like forever since I have had eggs! I am nervous that it will hurt or my sleeve will not like it but we will see! I have only been able to get like 3 oz of Soup in between two Protein Shakes and my water! It's like there isn't enough hours in the day to get more stuff in!!

I hope everyone is recovery well!

  14. My doc told me to take the Fiber daily until I add veggies back into my diet if that helps. I am on much different diet than everyone else. I started purées on post op day 3. I start soft Proteins next Monday. It makes me feel like this isn't going to work. Like I love my dr and trust him, but I've literally cried over it to my husband that I'm already like eating food and a lot of people on here are still on liquids. I've been swallowing pain meds since my last day in the hospital. I'm just feeling like this isn't going to work.

Awww Glitter although there are different meal plans, each Dr is different!! I know you are going to do GREAT! :) How's the food going is it staying down? And believe me I am still on puréed Soups till Monday and I am dying for some scramble eggs!

  15. Had my post op appointment and class today everything is going well! Dr wants me to try to get 90 grams of Protein in which seems hard! For the past 2-3 days I have gotten 60 grams and that's it plus my 48oz of Water. I have noticed I can drink a little more at a time now with both but I am really wondering how to get another shake in. I am on puréed Soups and only can do like one 3 oz soup... The dr also is keeping me off of work one more week to work on my liquids so I am not dehydrated and also the fact that I work with young children that can be unpredictable I guess didn't want them hurting my incision sites and all ...

How is everyone doing with their protein ? How much do you get in ? I just don't know if it's me or something typical for us in the beginning. I am 9 days out

  16. Gosh that's my fear about going back to work, work appropriate clothing lol I have been in sweats or yoga pants since surgery and not looking forward to restrictive pants. I hand much post op appointment and post op class tomorrow debating if I want to wear jeans or just continue the path I have been going and wear something stretchy and comfy! Glad to hear work is going well and atleast you have an office lol I am preschool teacher so I am def nervous ! I have a classroom full of little ones running around :)
