  1. Thanks everyone. Yep I definately feel 10yrs younger, I have heaps more energy. I actually like looking in the mirror now. Amazing what losing 50lbs will do
  2. Down 28kgs and feeling great. Still about 12 kgs to go.
  3. So I had my op mid January this year, and took a pic at the end of May. 5 months down, and down 43 lbs. (21kgs)
  4. Thank you for the kind words, still a long way to go
  5. Great effort. You must be thrilled so far!!
  6. Awwww thank you everyone. I guess looking in the mirror everyday I still see the unhappy big girl I've always been. Now to smile and be greatful for all I have.
  7. So I was a bit bummed that I had only lost 15.5kgs (35 lbs) in 3 months, then slapped myself because I could never have lost 15.5 kgs without this tool. Exercising nearly everyday and loving life. Compared a photo from a wedding a month before surgery to last weekends work function. Happy with my progress.
  8. I had drainage pain too. Once the tube was removed I took a day or two for the pain to lessen. It turned out that I had heaps of tube in me, and it was touching a nerve.
  9. Hi I'm from Perth too. I had my band removed in November 2013 and sleeve done 8 weeks later in January 2014. Down 11.8kgs since 1st January. Walking 30+ minutes at least 3-4 times a week. It's not going to come off on its own, but a life changing tool I'm still learning how to use. I didn't need anything for gas. See how you go. I found I had severe shoulder pain when I had my band removed, just walked and did the hot Water bottles.
  10. Hi I has my band removed in November after having it for 7 years. I had the sleeve 5 weeks ago. I have very minimal if any hunger. I am down 11kgs (23lbs) Best decision I made x
  11. I think Christina Auguliera has had the sleeve. Anyone else think so?
  12. So happy your making the switch. I too had a lapband (2006) lost 70lbs over 12mths but literally starved and lived off fluids. Band was too tight and I vomited everything I ate. I had my surgery 3 weeks ago. Lots of shakes, Water, apple juice and sorbet helped me post surgery. I'm down 20lbs in 5 weeks (including the 2 weeks pre op diet) You'll do great!!
  13. I can sympathise GGDROP. I had all the same thoughts running through my head. I have a 8 and 4 yr old. But two weeks post op, and couldn't be happier. Those feelings are completely normal. You will do great xx
  14. Amazing transformation, you look 15 years younger
  15. Congrats, sounds like you are doing really well.
  16. Memily firstly congrats.!!!!! Secondly how much weight have you lost so far? I know everyone's journeys are different, just trying to get a gauge. I'm 13 days post op. Started at 275lb lost 19 lbs in 4 weeks including pre op diet
  17. I'm 13 days post op, I had one for the duration of my hospital stay which was 4 days.
  18. I had surgery 11 days ago, and yes I have pain on my left, probably where the drain tube was. I struggled for the first 8 days with fluids, but seem to be doing better now. Just keep sipping Worst case , contact your surgeons office.
  19. I had Kevin 11 days ago. He did my band 8.5yrs ago and just did my sleeve. He is amazing.
  20. I drove 6 days later, but I wasn't on any pain medication and it was only short trips, ie: no more than 15mins away.
  21. In struggling with my protien shakes mamato2, I can't start the purée phase for another 7 days, still fluids. Tried tomato soup and I couldn't even get that down without discomfort!!
  22. Such a relief, I'm sorry you had troubles too Elliot, with your fluids, but glad you seem to be doing well with them now.
  23. Hi, so I'm only 7 days post op but my scales haven't moved in 3days. I am struggling to get my required fluids in, could that be it? Any suggestions??
  24. Thanks ladies. I don't find it difficult to get Water as such down, everything in general. I've got Powerade, tried tomato Soup, apple juice . Everything seems to be a huge struggle, and I force myself to burp after every sip
