  1. I was using OTC fiber pills until last month plus 5 tsp powder Benefiber every morning in my coffee. I just now do the Benefiber. I had to use an enema couple of times when it got bad.
  2. I had a headache for several days but then it finally went away. Just give it time. The shoulder pain could be from the gas they pumped into you.
  3. Was accidentally given a carbonated drink instead of tea at a drive thru and I drank some of it not knowing it. I was SICK! It cured me from wanting any more. That was about 2 months out and I am now 5 months.
  4. I had this last night with milk. I am just over 5 months out. Horrible nausea and pain.
  5. Sleeved on 12/26 and I have only lost 25 lbs. I am beyond frustrated. I am hypothyroid and have struggled since the surgery to get my dosage right. I think I finally have achieved that but I need to do something to jump start me again.
  6. I am opposite on broccoli. I love it now. Couldn't stand it before surgery. I also love yogurt that I hated before. Still can't stand cottage cheese.
  7. I take benefiber daily and also a probiotic.
  8. I accidentally drank some coke at about 3 1/2 months out. I thought it was tea. That was the worst I have felt since having the surgery. I hope that never happens again.
  9. I no longer take meds for diabetes. I stopped a week before surgery. My A1C was good with my first check up and I will have another one at the end of the month. I also have hypothyroidism and am losing so slow.
  10. Yes, I love yogurt now but couldn't stand it before surgery. Same with broccoli. I don't like things very sweet anymore.
  11. I wore home the clothes I went in. I took gasx, chapstick, extra undies, slippers, toothbrush and kindle. I used the toothbrush, gasx and chapstick.
  12. Just cover the scars for about 6 months and you should be ok.
  13. I don't remember going to the recovery room at all. I woke up in my room.
  14. I did oil pulling awhile back. I need to get some more coconut oil and start again. It did seem to help my teeth a lot. It also seems like it does a detox to your body. I know I felt like I had the flu for just 1 day after I first used it . I use it while I shower and then spit it when I get out.
  15. I was a 2 nighter but I had heart issues other wise I would of just stayed 1 night. Like other said take chapstick and I took GasX which I think helped me a lot.
  16. Mine was done with the glue also and I have not had a problem at all. I am only 8 weeks out and they seemed to be completely healed.
  17. Was given diet coke (I think) accidentally at a drive through instead of the tea I ordered and the one sip I took turned me off of it for good (I hope). The bubbles did not feel pleasant.
  18. It took a good 3 weeks before I really started having energy. My taste buds have changed. I can eat yogurt where I hated it before I love greens where I didn't before. Only 7 weeks out so I haven't tried much yet.
  19. I am a stomach sleeper and it took about 3 weeks to comfortably sleep on my stomach. I would wake up because I had gotten on my stomach during sleep and it hurt. I could sleep on my sides immediately.
  20. Iron supplements may also be causing it. I had to quit taking it every day and take it every 3 days instead.
  21. Pain pump in hospital was all I needed. Never used the hydrocodone at home. I had very little pain.
  22. I had trouble with dairy for a little while but don't seem to bother me anymore. I haven't tried anything spicy yet but I don't think I could tolerate it right now.
  23. thanks everyone! This helps me a lot.
  24. I have to be on a 3 week liquid diet. I started Monday and I have feelings of light headed and faint and other symptoms of low blood sugar. I keep checking it but lowest has been 102. I have had broth, strained cream Soups, tomato Soup, Protein shakes and lots of Water.
  25. My surgery is scheduled for the 26th. Been on the pre-op liquid diet since Monday. I am diabetic and it has been messing with my blood sugar. Otherwise I am ok. Starting to get anxious.
