did they make you a hug me pillow. it's denser than a real pillow and works so much better. My nurse made me one a hospital blanket folded into a rectangle and taped. It was my best friend. -

God love you. You're as morbid as me. I left letters for my kids. Made videos and told my husband what to let me wear if I died. I left insurance policy info, etc. I'm also very sarcastic but it's just a defense mechanism. I had the same feeling, what if I die trying to be a healthier person. It was horrible. I had lengthy conversations with Anesthesiologist. That was my biggest fear. When I woke up, I kept asking if I was dead. I also had a terrible fear of blood clots. Other than my fear, my surgery which was 2/4/14 was smooth. Good Luck on your new journey. -
Sleeved on 2/4! And was in a lot of pain too. I can finally cough without a hug me pillow. Im not really hungry though. Im in full liquid mode and concentrating on protein abd keeping hydrated.

No surgery needed for my hematoma just have to watch it. I woke up today with minimum to no pain. Belladonna, I found it through a few forums. They sell it at Walgreen. Eventually protein will be through food intake but during first two weeks I'm drinking these. 28 grams of protein. Also has potassium and magnesium and a few other nutrients. It's clear amd Im tolerating them well and getting my requirements in. 234 today! -

I know from researching other programs that every program is different in terms of requirements and it's basically the Dr. preference.. For my program they have two separate pre op diets. BMI 39 and under = 3 day. BMI 40 or above does a 2 week diet. Nothing to eat or drink after 12 the night before surgery for both. I went through a center of excellence. -

Hi Belladonna. Yes. My bmi was 37, so I only had to do 3 days which included protein shakes for breakfast and lunch and lean meat and veg for dinner. -

Sleeved on 2/4 and feeling really good. I have a hematoma above my large incision causing pain but otherwise good.No nausea or vomiting, sipping well. I am not hungry at all! I've been staying with my parents the last few days and they've been eating hoagies cheesesteaks, donoughts, etc and I'm not even interested. I haven't had a bowl movement but am passing gas. I'm down 16 lbs since I started my 3 day pre-diet on 2/1. I'm 5'9' starting weight was 252. This week is Clear liquids for me , so I've been drinking Propel, Water, tea with honey, Jello, and broth. I'm drinking The Original Protein XL shot 28 grams. It's really good. Next week will be full liquids like pudding, yogurt, Protein shakes, etc. I'm really excited! -
Surgery is on February 17th!
beme2013 replied to Bobbi McGhee's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Hi bobbi. I just got sleeved on Tuesday. I work full time and have two kids 7 and 3. I was really nervous about having surgery so much that I wrote letters. I'd plan on someone taking care of the kids for a few days. I was in the hospital tues - thurs and came to my parents house to rest. i have 2 big dogs plus the kids. I was worried about them jumping on me. The pain is more than I expected but it's important to walk alot. My husband took off work surgery day and went in late the last few days to get them out in the morning. -
i got Isopure.
