  1. I am so excited this morning! 101 lbs down since surgery! This was the best decision of my life, Even when I was getting adjusted to my new tummy, I have not had any regrets. I know I could not have done this on my own.
  2. I eat the middle out of a snack wrap, hamburger, taco when I am on the run. I am almost 7 months out and do not eat bread or tortillias...they blow up and hurt my tummy. I also have tried the new Oscar Meyer Protein packs with meat, cheese and nuts. Very good and filling.
  3. Have any of yall bought clothes without trying them on only to get home and they be huge? I cannot see myself smaller yet I guess....
  4. Love it! You have been such an inspiration to me RJ...as you and I were both about the same weight when we started.
  5. My condolences to you. I have not been close to anyone that passed from wls however, a lady in our community passed some years ago from having it done. I believe she had bypass but I am not sure. Of course, we sign a waiver that it could happen...a chance we all took. I must admit that I informed my daughter of where all my important papers were and what to do in case. I was a little scared but KNEW I to do it or I would have been dead anyway soon. I wish peace to you.
  6. I'm having the same problem but with casual tops...everything now is short sleeve for summer...well I need 3/4 bad!! Any ideas?
  7. I still go out to eat...try to skip the buffets but there is a wonderful little chinese place by my house...we still go there but I get a one trip go box and eat on it for DAYS...lol In regular restaurants, I usually get something small or eat off one of my kids plates..food really doesn't matter that much anymore. I still enjoy the social aspect and can do that with a few bites and Water to drink! lol
  8. All the feelings you mentioned I had them...fear...nerves..hunger...but I can honestly say that not a day goes by that I am not thankful for my sleeve. I did the Premier Protein from Sam's and did fine with those. Everybody is different with different tastes. Just stay on track and I promise you...you will never look back!!! Best to you!!
  9. Unfortunately, the last I heard on 600 pound life website is that she is still making excuses for why her surgery didn't work. She is sailing down the river of denial. No help for her I'm afraid.
  10. You make me want some too but will wait till I get to a place where no one screams "Hey Koolaid"!! lol You look great girl! Wear those pink jeans with pride!!!
  11. I was ADDICTED to sweets but no more. If I have a little taste for somthing...I have a sugar free pudding or sugar free hot chocolate. As said before, you lose the taste for it and my tummy will not tolerate them any more which is a good thing. I can't speak for everyone but staying in the bathroom was my experience when I did try some at Valentines...lol Sugar IS definately a drug and Lord have mercy I was out there bad on it. I would stop by the bakery for cake on my way home from work! Very sad but true! The sleeve has stopped my obsession with food and I am forever grateful for not being bound by my addiction. Best to you!
  12. I never was a Water drinker and still can't...I have to put one of the little flavor packets in it to stomach it. No problems with that. Warmer liquids are still easier for me however. I am 4 1/2 months out.
  13. I felt the same way early on. Now, I feel satisfied when I eat and move on to something else to do. I eat to live now and it's a great feeling! It will get better when you get "settled in" with your sleeve. Right now, you and the sleeve are still strangers! (so to speak) You will be fine! Best to you!
  14. I'm four months out and can only eat one egg.
  15. I tried to eat something too quick and threw it up....lesson learned. Try to stick to what the doctor recommended for you. I know it's tough, but throwing up is no picnic...lol Best to you!
  16. When I hit 40, I stopped caring what anyone thought of me.....I care less at 49! You do what you want, how you want and do not listen to that negativity! They must be jealous!
  17. Nah...I got off them at surgery and haven't had any. I was ADDICTED to them as well...but I'm not risking stretching this tummy that cost me a small fortune!! lol
  18. I have a desk job and went back in two weeks...I am forced to walk from our parking garage to my office which is quite a track....I was tired and winded after, which I never was before. Take a least 3 if you can would be my suggestion. Best of luck to you!
  19. All I can tell you is to eat the Gas X strips almost non stop...my daughter is an EMT and fed them to me in the hospital. I never had the 1st pain of gas...
  20. I have been feeling the same thing lately at work...I expect someone/anyone to say something...Hey people! I am down 65 pounds!!! But...another day goes by and nothing...zip. I then have to realize I see these people every day...I need to make plans to visit out of town family to get my ego boost!! SOON!!!
  21. I'm almost 4 months out and have not had any salad yet but I did have one glass of wine last week and I FELT IT!! Be careful and best to you!
  22. I went back to work in two weeks post op. I find when I was able to have real food...I felt better and had more entergy. I had to remember that my body went from injesting a huge amount each day down to next to nothing. I have received b-12 shots and B-12 supplements each day. I think that helped as well. It will get better but I kept the fatigue for two months. Best to you!!
  23. I did not see the show but did see her pics today online. She looks very ill. I hope she gets some help.
  24. Mine was Coke Zero. I drank two 32 oz fountain drinks a day in addition to what I drank at home. I was certainly addicted to it. I haven't had any since 10/21/13 and have been fine. I even put a sip in my mouth the other day to keep my son's soda from running over....it tasted nasty!! Of course, I spit it out...no carbonation in this tummy! You will be fine. Best to you!
  25. I had to go back to my doc in one week after surgery. I had lost 16 lbs! I must admit that I weigh too often now. I went from being obsessed with food to now being obsessed with the scale!
