    Protein Powder Supplements?

I stopped using the protein powders as soon as I was off my post op diet. I would use them for a day after my fills. Recently I started working out twice a day and decided I really need the extra calories and I needed the protein. There was no way eating my three meals a day that I could get to my 50-70 grams of protein. So in the mornings I put a scoop of isopure unflavored protein powder in my yogurt with my granola and it holds me from 9am till I eat my lunch around 2pm. Sometimes at night if I'm busy after work I will mix the unflavored with 8oz of chocolate almond milk and some ice cubes and make a "milkshake" for my post workout dinner. Hope this helps

Thanks everyone! I feel like I could do it. I've quit for 2 years a few years ago but when you don't have anything to quit for its a little harder this time lol...I don't drink anymore and no one in my family, including my husband smoke so I feel it would be easy. I'm just struggling between gaining weight the past couple days and the anxiety I'm getting thinking about quitting.
  3. Hi everyone!....I've been reading the threads for awhile now and finally am getting around to posting ...I've lost 38 lbs with pre diet, was banded 7/31/13 and I'm now down another 62 lbs. My original goal was to loose 110lbs. So that being said I'm 10 from my goal and decided that I now want to kick my nicotine addiction. But I'm so afraid if gaining any weight. As it is the past 2 weeks I've been working out non stop 6 days a week and being very on point with my eating, yet I gained a pound back!! Any advice on either would be appreciated

That's funny you said that. I was actually reading about the water retention from the muscle healing. It's crazy the things your body does. I should've posted question here a long time ago. You guys are great

Ya I'm hoping my running will improve when I quit smoking. I've kicked many addictions and this is the only one I have left lol...plus it doesn't help that I have asthma. It will one day to nice to actually say I AM a healthy person.

Thanks for your response I'm hoping that is the case. It's just so discouraging when the scale goes up or doesn't move. I think I might start taking some measurements, and at least if the scale doesn't show it hopefully inches will!
