  1. Set up a food schedule for the week, change it up a bit and try to sit at 1200 calories per day. See if anything changes after that week. Yoghurt is good, try to stay away from high sugar content though. Oh yes and WATER! Definitely helps to drink Water
  2. I've been away and haven't had a chance to log in otherwise I would have replied much earlier. I was at a stage where the numbers weren't moving on the scales for about 2 months, but I took a photo and waited a month and took another. The scales still hadn't moved much but you could definitely see a difference. Maybe try that? Also if you are exercising, keep in mind that you are more than likely gaining muscle. 1 pound of muscle takes up less space than 1 pound of fat but it still weighs the same.
  3. Don't give up. Are you counting calories and/or exercising? I thought I was doing well until I had a close look at what I was eating, calories creep up very quickly even with healthy things.
  4. Hey all, I've had trouble logging in and I'm overseas at the moment. I got down to 73kgs before I left, there are no scales here and I'm pretty scared that I've put on weight. I get home on the 1st of May.. I'm hoping that there isn't much damage!
  5. 75.3kg this morning now 300g from surgeons goal and 1.3kg for a 30kg loss Everything is so much more achievable in smaller goals! The smaller you get the more noticeable weight loss is. It took about 20-25kgs to notice anything and now a couple kilos makes a difference! @@steveelea wow that's good news break the 20kgs down into 5kg goals and you'll be there in no time!
  6. @@Bellarose100 fluctuation is completely normal, especially so early in! Your calories will slowly go up a little after swelling subsides, and your body will adjust and the weight will drop again! Don't be discouraged!
  7. Wow, shakes between meals? Definitely a way to gain weight, extra 5-600 calories and shakes 8 months in? I didn't even want them 2 weeks before!! No way, yuck! I hate the scales but I just can't help myself! I usually weigh once a week but some weeks I get a bit obsessive. If she was really doing mainly liquids for 8 months there would be no way that she would stretch her stomach? And I doubt a surgeon would put a patient all through that to allow them to eat an entree so soon after! Then again, drinking shakes for so long and depriving yourself of food can send you on a food frenzy so she could have gone overboard and stretched it a bit.
  8. @@Bellarose100 Wow are you doing really well! Super recovery! If you're already walking so soon, you will do very well! I'm down to 76.7kgs today! I've been hovering between 78-80kg for the last 2 months.. So to see that this morning was a lovely surprise I'm 1.7kgs away from my surgeons goal weight and 2.7kgs away from losing 30kgs! He'll be very happy when I see him he's always so excited even if I only lose 3kgs in a month! (I haven't seen in a while oops...) I'll have to get another small fill before I go to Turkey in April that's FOR SURE! Last time I went I came back 10-15kgs heavier. 16.7kgs to first goal weight of 60kgs I'll be off for another 10km walk today! I hope everyone is doing well, 2015 so far has been amazing! Can only get better
  9. @@Bellarose100 good news that there's no infection! I freaked out a couple times with my incisions but all went well too! I dunno about the walking because I stopped for about a month and then started yesterday.. But definitely smaller! I'm so buggered from yesterday so gonna do a massive walk every second day I weigh in on Wednesdays, so I'll weigh in tomorrow and see if I have actually lost any weight!
  10. I thought I would post this picture to show you all that sometimes the scales are a big liar! I took the first photo on January 25th of this year and the second photo was taken today(almost a month later). I have lost no weight according my scales but I can definitely see a difference in my thighs/hips!
  11. Oh wow That photo I posted last month, it was the 25th of January. I haven't lost anything on the scales but check this out! My huge thighs/hips are shrinking! Woohoo!!!
  12. @@steveelea are you using the mobile app? Maybe try deleting it and downloading it again, that's very strange!
  13. @@Bellarose100 my surgeon actually told me a few months ago to have two days a week of only liquid because it tightens the band. I never listened because I want food food food. I didn't eat for about 32 hours the other day and now I can hardly eat anything I'm very happy! Ah green pus, hopefully everything is ok!
  14. I haven't been exercising and that's probably the reason behind my lack of weight loss. I was using MapMyWalk to track my walking and checked it today.. Last used it a month ago! So I got my ass up and did a 10.6km walk in 2 hours the most I've done in the past was usually 5km or under from just giving up! I am feeling pumped!
  15. Dumped, done and dusted! Went clubbing with my cousin and her friend last night. They left about an hour later which was annoying so I stayed alone until about 6am. Had heaps of fun, so many guys wanted to dance and for me to go to their crew! It was really fun never been before! Single life is fantastic hehe
  16. Mums good, she's lost 10kgs so far, just over a month I think!
  17. @@steveelea yeah I definitely need another fill, will have to be next month when I'm back in melbourne(still at my mums) He hasn't changed since the band, he's just lazy and jobless and I am 100% done. If anyone has changed its me because I realise how crappy he really is and that I deserve someone that will take me out and CALL me once in a while. Someone who has goals. Obviously I still care about him and would like to break it off gently but there really is no gentle way. He hasn't called or messaged in a week, no hellos or anything. So I'm thinking to just not message him. Even when and if he does decide to say hello I'll just ignore it. Give him a taste of his own medicine. Go single on Facebook. I've already had this conversation with him, about no communication. So he can't say "what did I do". I visited my uncle in bathurst on the weekend and he said "you don't sound very in love" and I've been thinking about that and he was right! I'd love to date again and have some fun!
  18. I was in Knox city private. I'm going ok, only lost 1kg that I gained and that's taken me 3 weeks. Feeling a bit deflated. Very frustrated because I want to do shakes but I just can't commit to it anymore. Any advice on how to break up with someone? I don't have time for idiocy. He hasn't messaged me in over a week, I drove to and from Sydney and didn't even get a "drive safely". We've been together for 3 years and quite frankly I'm sick of him and have been thinking about this for a while now!! Breaking up in person will just make him cry and that will aggravate me. Breaking up over message is heartless.. It's confusing. I'm 4kgs away from losing 30kg, why am I not motivated!!! Maybe I need to dump his ass and that will push me back into it!
  19. Hope all went well with the barium swallow! I was opposite, I wanted to stay in longer. I was pissed off that I had to go home the next day haha, I tried to stay another day but they wouldn't have it.
  20. So good to hear Bella You'll feel better soon!
  21. Also just wanted to post this here because I always get really angry and delete heaps of photos off my phone for some reason. Especially if it's of myself. So I'm posting it here to keep track of progress So me at 80kg. Then when I get to 70 I'll upload another one!
  22. Bella it's hard but you can do it I've started shakes again the last two days. I find it harder to have 2 shakes and one meal instead of just 3 shakes a day. The food temptation is there so it got me yesterday, but today I was good and stuck to it! I got the aldi shakes and they taste so much better than celebrity slim or any other that I've tried. Not suitable for preop which sucks! I've been cleaning and bagging moss the last few days and my entire body is aching. Hopefully that helps with the scales also been doing some walking around the beaches in warrnambool Always more fun to look at something like that when walking! No movement on the scales sitting on 79-80 which is a bummer because I was at 78 at one point. But I'll get back there! I think I may also be a size 14! Sizing everywhere is different but I'm always in kmart and that's where I got a new top and pants in 14! I was a very tight 16 at surgery(size 18 denial) How is everyone doing? January is almost over. I'm making mini goals for each month. My January goal was to drink more Water. I have been! About 1 litre a day. I reckon my feb goal will be to get closer to 2 litres a day and to walk more
  23. Yeah! Crazy world we live in. Some people were saying that one can go in to get say a cyst removed near the intestines and the surgery won't go as planned and they wake up with a bypass. Not as extreme as the normal one, but still pretty extreme to wake up finding that out. I'd say it would sound like that scenario is spot on, but she was talking to my mum and she knew she was getting the surgery but didn't know that she wasn't allowed to eat. I'm assuming one of her kids really wanted her to get the surgery and translated whatever the surgeon said a bit differently so that she would get it. How is everyone doing? No weight loss for me so far, disappointing but definitely expected. Had a gain and got back down to 78 point something so that's a start. I'm in Warrnambool at my mums eating better food and feeling a lot better. I'm off to Sydney at the start of feb and Turkey in April. Gotta get a move on!!! @@Bellarose100 jan is almost over, time is going fast!
  24. I've seen a few tv shows with failed bypasses, failed sleeves, failed bands.. Any weight loss surgery you can gain weight if you aren't careful. That's why I hate when people say only 10kgs???! Hahaha yes and I've worked for hard for that! She was awake for an extra day and the whole 4 days was asking for food, and she actually ate something and the nurses were freaking out, I'm not sure what she ate. And her son was begging the nurses to give her chocolate milk in clear fluids phase and they did... I dunno just seemed unprofessional
