  1. To ERAOUL, Good Luck Tomorrow! I was banded on the 14th and I just had to take it easy the 1st day after surgery. Just take it slow, follow Dr's advice and look forward to a new wonderful future!
  2. Best Wishes to all new banders. I am 7 days post and feel great. So glad I did this. I know the harder part comes after I get my first fill but reading the experiences my fellow banders have had will help me keep a forward thinking attitude. I appreciate everyone's honest input. I hate suprises and this clears up any questions I have had. XO
  3. The pillow is a good idea. I keep water on the night table so I can sip after the cough. Also tissues so I can get rid of any mucus. Check on you tomorrow!
  4. Hi YaYa, Walking should help the gas pains. I took Gas-X one time and have been good. I do have a cough as well but thought it may be allergies. Each day gets better and better. I'm 6 days out and feel great! Relax and walk.
  5. Hope you feel better. Popsicles help the throat pain
  6. That is a great idea. Wish we had one in Dallas Tx.
  7. Congrats! You did it. Now you can look forward to a happy and healthy new you.
  8. Bandista and Princess Leah, Thanks so much for getting back to me with terrific advice. This morning I had a Protein shake and life is good. Have a great week!
  9. Yay! Welcome to your new world! Best wishes for a speedy recovery. Your future is bright!
  10. Hello all, I was banded Thursday, 3 days ago. Trying to consume Protein. I am drinking Isopure Green Tea as it is considered a clear liquid. Did anyone drink a smooth Protein Drink like the ones we did before surgery? If I could drink those I know I would be a happy camper. Please let me know, thanks!
  11. What happens to you if you do not fulfill the required protein requirement?
  12. Yes, the EDG was an endoscopy It was mandatory. It should all be fixed now. I am doing well. One problem is it hurts if I cough, sneeze or bend. Time will heal all of that I'm sure.
  13. Hi, yes, I was told I had a hiatal hernia when they performed the EDG. I and my band installed today and the Doctor was to have fixed the hernia too.
  14. Bandista, I am an outpatient so no overnight. I think overnight would be better but gotta do what the Dr orders. I have been following your progress and it seems you are on the right track. I think that we'll all wish we had done this years ago. At least I'm hoping. I look forward to getting off HBP medicine. I'll post my experience after my procedure. Thanks for the good wishes, back to you!
  15. Thursday is the big day. The hospital changed my arrival time from 5:00 am to 7:30 am (much more civil) Op will probably start at 10:30 and possibly be released no later than 1:00. Today spent re-reading all the material the Dr.s staff has given me. Have everything in the house that I think I'll need. Now just need to get through tomorrow.
  16. What a nightmare. So sorry you had to go through all of this. Scary! I have my surgery this Thursday and I now know to ask about the size band. Thank you!! Best Wishes for a smooth recovery.
  17. Bandista, You sound wonderful and that helps the rest of us waiting for our appointment. I wish you the best and a speedy recovery!
  18. Me too! Good Luck and let's touch base as we progress.

  21. I am getting banded 11/15. I actually had rny gastric bypass sometime back but after my twins I just couldn't seem to get back right. So my surgeon said this is my only option.. I am scheduled for 11/14 so if you'd like, lets follow each others progress. I start my liquid/protein diet on 11/7.
  22. SandyM, Thanks for the info. Tmo I go for my pre-op hospital appointment. I suppose I'll learn about these things when I get the results. Thanks again!
