Hi I am Esmeralda I was banded in Jan 2005 and I went from 243.5 to currently 152, I had cosmetic surgery in Feb of this year but I am still to reach my goal (I changed it like 3 times), it is so true at this point I need to start all over and get my self motivated to start lossing again, but hey I am glad we are starting to get together again to motivated each other.

I live in Lakewood, I am 3 1/2 years out but I am still 10 pounds away from my goal, I also need a support group since it has been a while that I meet with anyone. I also have a band baby (2 years old) so maybe I can be of use for any who wants to get pregnant.

In a hispanic family many times our loved ones try to help and their way of helping is by making rude comments like the ones you dad is making but you have to realize that deep inside they don't mean it that way, if they didnt care they would'nt even comment about if you are eating good or bad. My mom always made comments like "when are you going to stop eating" or "your going to be sorry later but eat it anyways" but now that I have my kids I always stop and think about the way I tell them about their eating habits so they don't have the same problem I did with my parents. Please don't take it as no support I would just take it as a compliment and show your dad that it doesnt bother you and you are going to do great like you have been so far. Good luck!! By the way I am over 3 years out and know my mom tells me "your face looks ugly are you going to keep lossing" or "look at your legs they are to skinny" so hey we can't win.

I usually eat 1 crispy taco or a tostadas and when they put meat in them I ask for extra beans lite on the meat. Soups are also great.

I think I was alot better about exepting myself when I was big and also I don't know how to take a compliment, I don't like it when at work the guys tell me "wow you look so pretty" or "wow you look so different" I just don't like the attention in a sexual way.

I hear you and its like talking about myself, I was banded back in Jan 2005 and I am yet to reach my goal but since I am down to 158 (i started at 243.5) but I have had some stuff in between my journey like a pregancy, a separation etc. Back in February I had plastic surgery I had my tummy tuck, breast lift with implants and lipo at the waist and I still look at myself and feel big, I am not happy with my weight yet I can't get myself to get motivated to loose the last 13 pounds I have left. Its hard to look at myself and like who I am and I am a totaly different person in the outside but the inside can't see that.

This was a fun thread any one have any more suggestions.

Its funny because he will be totally distracted and I will pull my shirt down so when he turns my way he is getting flashed he really gets a kick with that or even if you where a skirt just tees him pulling it way up like your going to show something but don't save it for later. This is fun and it brings some excitement to the relationship.

The one thing that really gets the men is while your at a red light if he is driving flash him your boobies or reach over and touch him making some comments about what you would do to him. Also when I know he is really busy at work I either call him or leave him messages telling him what I want to do for that night and he tends to get excited about heading home as soon as possible. The sexy cloths really works great, these are all things that when I was bigger I wouldn't do because I was too embarresed but now I love it and it works every time.

The text messages are great, I do that all day so by the time my boyfriend and I see each other we are ready to go at it!! Its so much fun.

I already have 3 kids and I did get my tubes tide but since I seperated and meet a wonderful man who has talked about having kids at this point I don't know if its an option because I already lost the weight and had my cosmetic surgery but just want the information.

I started the same day that I went in for my surgery and that didn't stop them from doing it, you should be okay.

My surgeon didn't require and unfill so i didnt get on and I did great, how ever I was afraid of getting to tight after my surgery but everything went great. I went from 158 before my surgery to 165 after and I am back to 158 I am maintaining but I have really had a hard time getting myself motivated to start lossing the last 13 pounds that I want to lose.

How many people that had there plastic surgery back in February still wear their girdles??? I stop wearing mine about 4-5 days ago but I feel allot of swelling on my lower tummy I think I rather keep on wearing it, have you bought something different that compresses the area?? I need a good girdle for now.

I have pictures but I am not sure if I feel comfortable posting them I feel weird, I have issues excepting myself for what I am now even though I am always getting compliments on how great I look. I will try to get the nerve to post them soon.

He is but I saw him in Mexico and he doesn't have problems over there. My coworks went before me and had their after care here until he had to stop, he wasn't doing surgeries here only after care and that doesn't affect any work that he did to me so I was fine seeing him.
