  1. 7 months ago I got together with my support team and decided that I wanted to loose 100lbs before my surgery. I didn't have a surgery date yet and was just working on that goal and waiting for insurance and stuff to get situated. Then they told me that my pre op is the 6th and my op is the 7th! I went in for my final goal weigh in and I've lost 118 lbs in 7 months! I'm so excited to get this done and be on my way to even more body changes and new experiences!

  2. I'm going to do it! No way am I going to fail! I'm to stubborn for that lol. Thanks for all the encouraging words guys it helps a lot to know that other people went through that situation and that you all stood strong agents the negativity. I will stand strong! Thanks for the encouragement!

  3. I was nervous last night and called a friend about my upcoming surgery on the 7th. She put me down , made me feel horrible, and tried to talk me out of the surgery. I'm getting the lap band. She herself has gotten a gastric bypass in '79 and she ate though it. She keeps telling me that its not worth my time because I'm just going to fail. I should have hung up but for some reason I listened to her for an hour and a half. I feel I can make this band work for me and I'm going to loose weight and get better, healthy. Get my life back!

  4. Happy Christmas everyone. Isn't it great knowing how different Christmas next year will be for us all? Am so excited.

Nerves are really kicking in now. My op is on the 4th. Am I the first one of us to do it? I still can't quite believe I am going to do this. It's bonkers. But I am so excited for the results, I know me and this lapband are going to get on well together.

I go a couple days after you ! Please please keep us posted I'm she scared on what to expect!

  5. So excited for everyone to get started on the new year with successful lap bands and new healthy lives! Good for us for working towards this goal and achieving it!! I hope we are all ecstatic with ourselves and our new bodies and healthy habits a year from now, and with that may it bring self confidence, self esteem, and assurance that we can all be a little more comfortable in our own skins! Happy Holidays to you all!

  6. My real sister is like this also. We were living together and when I started setting my goals and achieving them she just turned mean. Not only to me but to my son and daughter as well. I have separated myself from her a bit and am still very supportive of everything she does and achieves, and just don't let it stand out to me as much when she spouts the poopies from her mouth when I do something great like achieving a goal or dropping 3 lbs this week. I surround myself with people who support me and can handle a fifty fifty relationship. It's hard but you just have to tell yourself, am I important to myself? If I am then I'm worth the energetic support that is going to push me towards my next goal as not make me feel disappointed in a relationship that's maybe being held at a standstill just to derail me.
