  1. Hi Everyone

I am 2 weeks 2 days post op. I can not believe how briliantly it has gone. I am eating and have been eating since day 3 smoked haddocked cooked in milk and blitzed down with sweet potatoe and a handful of baby spinach bliized served in to two different small piles or asaparagus and a touch of garlic and milk blitzed. Greek yogurt with fresh mango or berries blitzed in.

is this normal to be eating food like this so soon. I have lost just over 1 stone and feel fantastic. I am just listening to my body and have had no discomfort at all.

Does anyone know if you are allowed champagne after a plication (i am going to a wedding)?

Hope everyone else is as good as me.

    God Bless

    Caroline

  2. Helloooooooo I did it! Was scary especially being in Prague and not much English. At times it was overwhelming and I broke down once when this elderly dr wanted to do an endoscopy without sedation. Well he didn't seem to understand that huge hose thing was not going to fit down my throat. Lets just say he soon gave up and refused to speak only to say go!! Ops!!

Also I was taken straight into the operating theatre and prepped in there I was trussed up and no one spoke English until the anethathist decided to show up!!! This is just not what they do in the UK so i was frightened but decided at this point to act like a mute!! I have to say obv don't rem much about the first day and night but really the only pain was my point of entry where my drain was. Now we are day 3 and I am just dandy I can drink this lemon tea they got some clear broth then some baby food fruit then some spinach Soup which had a thicker consistency. I even had had a few sips of coffee. I fly back to UK tomorrow that makes 5 days in hospital then jersey Channel Islands back to my family Sunday.

If I can help or give advice to anyone regarding emotions ect please post me.

Equally if anyone has any advice I would so appreciate it.

    Lots of love

Ok reality hit! I had to have my Mums rings cut off today in readyness for my surgery on tuesday. I am going through the phase of not being able to get off to sleep as its on my mind. Then as soon as i wake up POW!!!!!

Any advice would be so gratefully recieved.
