  1. Much better now thanks, the first week was tough but each day is getting better, just really low on energy still... Hope you're doing well?
  2. Well done, keep up the good work :-)
  3. Poor you, I know how horrid that is! What do you think caused it?
  4. Hi, thank you very much for this, hope you're doing well too.
  5. I used Movicol, I got this from my local chemist, it's sachets of powder you put into water. It worked for me but I'm not sure if you can get this outside the uk.
  6. Hi, I also had excruciating pain throughout my abdomen but mostly on my left side, my pain turned out to be constipation which, with gentle medication, eventually passed. I wouldn't suggest doing anything without medical advice but just wanted to point out that it could be something like this. Hope you feel better soon.
  7. Here's my first Friday weigh in! Heaviest weight 272 Surgery weight 258 (Nov 6th) Current weight 245 Total loss to date - 27
  8. I hope you both recover really quickly, sorry for the delay in wishing you well but with this site changing and my slow recovery I've been struggling to get back in touch with people. Very best wishes to you :-)
  9. I'm having the same problem on my samsung app.
  10. Hi I'd be grateful for some advice as well. I had surgery on nov 6th and had a horrendous dumping episode last night. But I'm worried it was more as it lasted all night long and was excruciatingly painful. I'm on liquids only the only thing I changed was I had a small cup of cream of chicken soup at 6.30 followed by a small cup of Horlicks light at 8 (I had a small cup of Horlicks light at 5 as well so was confident this had gone down well). The whole episode started just after 9 pm. I have never been as much pain and I've been through child birth with just gas and air. This pain went on in waves all night long. I had not had a bm since before surgery so wonder if this contributed to the pain. I am absolutely terrified of this happening again and just don't know what to do. Currently I'm regretting this whole thing big time! I'm hoping some of you might be able to make me understand where I went wrong and be able to reassure me that this will get better. Thank you so much for readingthis.
  11. Hi everyone, just found this thread, not a fan of this new site/app can't find so many threads and can't open a lot of those I can find. Tried to amend settings on the web as suggested but couldn't see what to do. Had surgery last Weds and starting to feel a bit better today. Been in quite a bit of pain, gas mainly I think as it's all around my lower chest, sholders and ribs, been a bit weepy and very tired but haven't cried today so very pleased :-) have really missed not catching up with all your news because of the change with this forum, I sooooo hope it improves soon.
  12. Still don't think this thread is working for me...
  13. Just testing to see if i can send post... Have been having trouble...
  14. Been having trouble posting since surgery on 6th... Here goes another try...
  15. Day after surgery, yesterday was pretty rough with pain but getting better now, except getting in and out of bed. Going to take a little walk in a short while and keep this up through the day. Drinking water okay but feeling a bit weepy :-(
  16. Thank you, your kindness is much appreciated :-)
  17. Just off to bed (it's just after 10.30pm here in the uk) and have to be up early for surgery in the morning... Scared but excited too!
  18. Hi there's some info under a thread called "deleting your account" which should be able to help you.
  19. Thank you. It looks like this is the same as Paracetamol which is really easy to get here thank goodness :-)
  20. Thank you for your responses, we can't get Tylenol easily in the UK and it looks really expensive online but it looks like it is paracetamol based so I'll look and see what I can find that's similar and dump the ibubrofen in my cupboard... For some reason I'd not realised this would be a problem until I came on here. This forum is so useful for info like this, thanks to everyone being so helpful. My surgery is this Weds.
  21. I understand you're not supposed to take things like ibubrofen after bypass surgery but what can we take instead if we get a headache or backache?
