Had to postpone for two reasons: 1: Boss said two weeks off starting the 8th was not going to work and asked that I hold off until first week of December. (I wish my boss was a little more supportive of my decision. When I told him, he said I didn't need it, that I just needed to quit drinking soda. His reaction hurt a lot, because I really respect my boss and work my *ss of for him. I was so crushed by his attitude. I know our dynamic is changed for ever. And he has been like a dad to me this last year.) 2: When I went to reschedule, the surgeon's office said Doc wants to talk to me first. I guess he wants me to quit smoking before my surgery or he won't do it. After I talk to doc, I'll let you know. Just super bummed.

Just got approved today!!!! Woo Hoo! Surgery is scheduled for 8am on November 8! Start my diet on Sunday.

Just got approved today and my surgery is set for Nov 8. I tell my boss tomorrow. Wish me luck!

Just got my surgery date tonight. Pre op appointment is Tuesday and surgery is on November 8th! Start my high protein shake diet Sunday.

I had to submit some blood work, a gallbladder ultrasound, six months of diets, a letter of medical necessity and a psych eval. I didn't start trying to get this surgery until 9/24, I had six months of dieting proof from my doctor, hell, I have a two years of monthly visits from my doctor, because I had been trying to avoid this surgery. But its been useless. And now that I am ready to take this next step, my heart is in it. I hate this. I hope it is a simple question, and it is no biggie! Trying to stay positive. I will let you know tomorrow!

Just got home and got message from my surgeon's office. They said my insurance called and need some thing else. I wonder what else they need! Good thing I have tomorrow off and I can call them back. So scared! I thought I had everything submitted. What do they need???? Anybody else have this happen?

I am not telling my boss till I hear back from insurance. I hope my surgery is at least by the 14th so I can get two full weeks. Although my company pays the full three week leave, I know what is really expected and going out for "an elective" surgery this close to the holidays is not going to have my boss happy. If I get two weeks, ill be good. Keep me updated!

Do you have a surgery date yet? Don't feel too crazy. I work in retail too and I am expected to do a split shift, starting at 7pm on Thanksgiving! Hoping to have my surgery 2nd week in Nov!

My surgeon's office just my pre authorization testing to the insurance last week, so pending approval, I should be a November surgery! The waiting is killing me! I will update when I get the date. Little bit about me. I am 29, mother of two, married for four years, workaholic. Current weight is 278. Goal weight is 150. Doctor says to expect to be about 175. So we will see. Nice to meet you guys!

Since submitting everything to insurance, I feel super nervous. I feel like I did with my pregnancies. Reading lots of articles, reading other people's advise, buying special things to prepare, excited by the idea of being comfortable with my body again, and doing a lot of day dreaming, and anxious for the special day! I can not wait! Seriously, waiting for this approval is like making me too giddy, like a kid on Christmas Eve. I want this so bad! I can't wait.

I'm new here. I just submitted all my preop testing to insurance on Thursday, and am waiting on an answer. So pending the approval, I am guessing and hoping to be a November surgery!!!
