  1. Hi everyone. I am 1 week 1 day post op. so far no vomiting, nausea etc. but I am getting these little cramp feelings on my right side under my right breast. Feels like when I sit up awhile that side starts to gets all crampy like. That is the same side that has the 2 most painful inductions out of the 5 I have. Anyone know if this is normal? I'm going to see the dr in the morning but just thought I would ask the forum.

  2. Hi Stace' date=' my stitches dissolved over time. I did not have to have them removed. I had internal stitches too and they dissolved as well. I am 7 months post op and my incisions are still pink and I am sure they will be hard to see a year from now.[/quote']

Thank you! I hope that mine will dissolve on their own as well.

  3. Please tell him this – “Whilst being rude and making people feel like crap when we were at school' date=' you obviously weren’t doing much learning. Your first sentence is correct.

However, in your second sentence, the word should be ‘you’re’ (an abbreviation of you are) not ‘your’.

What does ‘yeah for you’ even mean? Are you congratulating me or is this an affirmation of my very existence?

You do not start sentences with ‘but’ as it’s a linking word (it’s the same with ‘and’).

Can’t has an apostrophe between the ‘n’ and the ‘t’.

I am perfectly calm, just sharing my news with my ‘friends’ on Facebook which I hear is a perfectly normal thing to do.

Now, away with you and learn 1) some manners and 2) some grammar … oh yes, and as you said ‘Lol’."[/quote']

That is the best response ever!!!!!!!!! Yes girl. Op there are haters in this world and you have to shrug them off. If e was a true friend he would be happy for you. Not saying stuff like that! Rise above it girl. You are among lots of people here who love ya! We support you!

  4. Hi everyone. I'm one week post op and have my fu appt w my dr on Wednesday. I was given the ok to take the gauze and plastic bandage off but to leave the steri strips alone. They are supposed to fall off on their own. But I noticed that I do have stitches. So do they dissolve or does the dr take them out?! Has anyone had to have their stitches remove? I know when I had mine taken out from foot surgery. It hurt like hell! Please tell me they use dissolving stitches! Lol.

  5. I hear ya as well! My emotions is off the charts sometimes since my rny. The sad thing I cry when watching Long Island medium! Yesterday it was David tutera. Good lord I feel like I was when I was prego. I think my hormones are so off as I need to get back on my bc pills. The days are going by so damn slow and I hate the food I'm stuff with. What I would give to chew! Lol.

  6. Everyone heals at a different pace and you may have days where you don't think there has been any improvment' date=' but everything I have ever read or heard says that walking and staying as active as you can when you can is key. I am a nurse and I know that this is true when any of my patients are ill, when you are sedimentary, blood and oxygen do not circulate as well and your muscles, when active, promote circulation, strength and healing. Another thing that I see with patients and was true for me for the first few days is, do not be afraid to cough as much and as forcefully as possible as you can. This too increases oxygen circulation and keeps anything from settling into your lungs and causing more problems. I was very afraid to cough after surgery, a low O2 level almost kept me in the hospital an extra night, my surgeon came into my room and said, "cough, you can not undo anything I did", so, I coughed and went home a few hours later. Sorry if I seem like I'm ranting, it's hard sometimes to seperate the patient and the nurse. Good luck and walk, even if it is around your house in 5 minute sets.[/quote']

Thank you:). I'm trying. I notice my sense of smell and taste are on high alert. The aftertaste of broth and the smell of Irish spring is killing me lol.

  7. Thanks for the advice!! I hope that by getting up and out of the bed I'm not going to damage anything. I haven't worn a bra and the weight of my breast hurt them as well. And I can't seem to pass gas. I burp Nd I take my gas x but no passing of gas yet. Anyone got tip son how to get over the mental block of passing gas?

  8. For the ladies that are nervous about "life after "....this is a huge step for you. You are beginning a new journey and it's normal to be unsure. You may be in pain...it's treatable. You may have days you mourn your old favorite food' date=' but you will not mourn the shedding of the weight that has held you back for so long. Celebrate your courage and know you are beautiful. God bless and good luck!.......Katie[/quote']

Thank you for your kind words Katie. I needed that.

  9. Ok ladies. I need some suggestions on how to calm my nerves about this step. Surgery is on Monday. I'm not really worried about the surgery part ( have full faith in my dr) and am leaving the rest to god. What I am having a real problem w is life after. Healing, pain worries. Mourning food? Idk it is scaring the hell out of me. That's it. I'm scared shitless. Sorry for the curse word. Please help lol.

  10. Hello everyone' date='

Well my liquid diet is no longer an issue for me. My cold has taken away all desire for food or beverage. Which is good in a way I guess. Just got to stay hydrated and hope it goes away before next Tuesday. Set up a schedule on my phone to remind me to drink drink drink. Popping some Vitamin C and Tylenol Cold and Sinus. Needing lots of prayers right now. Going to go wash my brains out with some salt Water. FEEL like going back to bed. NEED to get on the treadmill.[/quote']

    Hope you feel better soon!!
