  1. STOP IT NOW UNLESS YOU WANT MAJOR PROBLEMS......

What you are doing is very dangerous and you can destroy your insides badly.

You are acting like a bulimic person with making yourself throw up.

You should not be eating Kraft mac & cheese that's not good for you in any shape or form.

You should not wait the three weeks and you should call first thing in the morning and talk to the surgeons office and tell them what you have been doing to yourself. They will probably not be happy at all that you are making yourself throw up.

You must stop immediately so you don't do harm your body and permanent damage.

  2. Pik,

Speed balls can be very uncomfortable if made to big.

My engagement ring and wedding band are so big that I can't wear them.

I don't plan on resizing my engagement ring until I'm well into maintaining my weight. Maybe a year from now I might.

Like you said you going to wait until next year to have it resized and I think that's the smart thing to do.

You could always get a temporary ring that's adjustable in the band and wear that.

Whatever you do be happy and feel good.

  3. Welcome to the forum.

Congratulations on making this decision for yourself to take your health and well being into control.

You will be so pleased on how well this surgery will make you feel.

Don't let anyone especially yourself Detour you from getting what you want and work hard for.

You're doing a wonderful thing for you and for your family but especially and most importantly for you...

Good luck with your future surgery.

  4. Pik you are more then welcome.

I feel for you and I keep you in my thoughts that things get better for you.

I'm glad that you aren't depressed that's good. It means you have hope still.

I'm confident that things will get better for you and you will feel much better.

I know it's a struggle to find the good in this situation but it will happen for you.

Once again I wish you the best and to feel well.

  5. I would have your blood sugar levels checked because if they are to low that can cause dizziness and the feeling that you are going to pass out.

Ask your surgeon for anti nausea pills and see if those help you calm things own so you can drink fluids and Protein better.

    Please take care.

I know you had a real bumpy road so far and you are really discouraged but just take each day slow and easy it's bound to get smoother.

    Be well.

  6. I have to eat every two hours to keep my blood sugar up or I get very weak and majorly dizzy also other symptoms.

I eat nuts, Quest bars, soy Protein chips, egg white chips, cheese and I really try to stay with Protein but if it dips to low my blood levels then I have to eat something with sugar in it or I have to potential of passing out.

I love PB2 in the regular or chocolate. I add it to shakes. Target carries it in their Peanut Butter isle.

  7. Wine is full of sugar and carbs.

Most surgeons and nutritionist will tell you to stay away from wine or any alcohol.

I'm surprised you were told it's okay.

Alcohol enters sure system faster after WLS and you don't feel the effects for very long but it does stay in your system like normal and shows it blood tests or breathalizers.

So I would say use your better judgment if it's worth it and those empty calories.

  8. That's great that you are feeling good.

    Each person looses weight differently.

You will loose the weight according to how you work at the plan that the surgeon and nutritionist gave you. Follow their instructions and you will be very successful.

You are healing and it takes awhile to heal internally from this surgery so pace yourself according to what you are instructed by your surgeon.

    The best to you.

  9. May all good things happen for you in the very near future.

I hope that your bumping beginning starts to get smoother and lead you to a happier ending.

May you find peace through this hardship in your journey.

I wish you a speedy recovery and a much, much healthier you.

Take care and my best to you.

  10. I've gone out to eat many times and I've not had a problem in doing so.

I usually only eat half of my meal and box the rest.

Now I also have a card from my surgeon that says that I have a medical reason and can I order off children's menu or senior citizen menu.

Just stick to the guidelines your surgeon and nutritionist have given you and you'll be fine.

  11. I eat every few hours to keep an even level and my sugar levels still go down when I check my blood before meals and bedtime.

I am eating what i'm suppose to when I'm suppose to. I never skip meals at all.

I am keeping a record of what I eat and of my blood levels so I can see if one thing is better then another at keeping me level, so far nothing has worked to do that.

I am going to keep watching and turn the information to my general doctor when I go to see them.

I want to thank you for responding to me so far.

  12. I am now under care by my general doctor for low blood sugar.

I've been having symptoms for months and we finally came to the conclusion that I have low blood sugar levels and have to be watched for the next couple of weeks with recording everything I eat and take my blood sugar levels 4 times a day or when I feel symptoms.

I have now carry hard candy for if I'm out and about I have something with me to bring the blood levels back up quickly.

This is unnerving to say the least and if you are having the same problem what are you doing about it?

I hope this is going to be manageable and not get worse.

This is crazy because I had type 2 diabetes and that's one of the reasons I got this surgery in the first place and now this.

  13. If it was me I would wait until February when you are on regular foods and can have an easier time selecting food on menus.

You will by then have four plus months under your belt and will feel much more secure in what to eat and what not to eat. By then you will know the plan much better that the surgeon and nutritionist lay out for you.

Now should you spend 10 days in Disney or 5 days there and 5 days on the beach is a good question. If you rent a place and stay on the beach you can have more control of what you eat because you probably will have a frig in your room and can purchase food to keep in there for yourself and your family and save some money by not having to go out.

I would take Protein powder in small containers to mix with Water and if you can get fat free milk even better. I would take Protein Bars like Quest Bars that have 20 grams of Protein in them. Have these items while your walking around Disney just in case you can't find food that's on a menu that goes with the program that you are given.

These are a few suggestions for you and I hope they help you decide what to do.

Take care and good luck with your surgery.

  14. It's natural to be nervous about a new journey.

From experience if you follow what your surgeon and nutritionist plan out for you you will succeed most definitely.

You'll do great I'm sure of it as long as you give it your all.

This is such a great start to a new wonderful healthy life so grab it and run with it.

Good luck on your surgery and new journey.

  15. I'm a sharpei all over the place and I will not have plastic surgery to lift any of it because it's to painful from when I had it done to remove a problem I had when I was much, much bigger.

I workout four days a week on the stationary bicycle and I know plan on doing weight work outs to maybe help tighten some of my sharpei look.

I look better in my clothes then out of them. LOL

People can't tell where I'm loose thank goodness.

Thank goodness for clothes and I don't mean loose fitting either.

I'm not looking for a model physique I'm looking to be healthy.

  16. Well for the little that I use them i'm loosing weight and I would have a worse problem if I ate the real thing of these products. I limit myself of what I have and that's okay with me.

Each one of us has to do what they think best for themselves and in controlling what they eat.

I am in control of my destiny and no one else is just like you are in control of your destiny and how you handle things.

So do what you will with this information and you decide if it's for you.
