Is anyone buying things pre op to prepare ? What kind of protein are you using ? I currently use Premier Protein as a ready made shake but I just ordered a sample pack of Chike to try different flavors of powders. Any must have items your surgeon has mentioned ? -

He offered me 12/10 but Id have to start preop diet before even gaining approval from insurance. We are submitting to insurance 11/25 and diet would have to start 11/26. Not to mention thats 2 days before Thanksgiving! Lol. Ii am totally fine with skipping a thanksgiving meal however if I dont gain approval ill have to continue the diet until well who knows when so id rather plan on the 12/18! -

I wish I could wait until day before lol. Im not scared or "worried" I think im nervous of the unknown. How will I feel. Will I not lose weight quick enough. Will I throw up all the time. Mines a week before christmas...I think will something happen and make me miss my 1 yr olds christmas morning. And thats just a handful of what keeps me up at night. I remind myself the positives but its just what I do! Lol -

Mine is 12/18 and Im already a mess. I will be crying my eyes out until they knock me out. I will not walk out but I am trying to figure out how im going to sleep for the next 6 weeks! Lol -

I have a 1 year old and can so relate! I have tried premier s chocolate and to me its good. You should give it a shot. After drinking muscle milk and whatever else I was so upset that I was going to have to drink this nasty stuff. I was shocked that this one actually tasted good! I hope it gets better for you!! I start mine 12/4 as long as all goes as planned. Seems so far away hut sadly not! Whats ur surgery date ?? -

I am a month away from starting my pre op diet but wanted to find some different shakes. My favorite is Premier Protein. They are premade and I buy them from Food lion. 30 grams of protein. Taste good!!! -

So happy to see so many new people in the group! Yay for all the new surgery dates and approvals! I submit mine 11/25 and hopefully no issues with a 12/18 surgery date! Its a week before Christmas and with a husband on midnight shift and a 1 year old..this wont be easy. But it will be worth it. Really struggling with this but I have to hope Im making the right choice. :/ -

Finally got my sleep study scheduled for 11/9! I have my 5th PCP appointment on friday and my FINAL PCP appointment 11/25 then its surgery date timeml. Cant believe its only a month away until im counting down the days to surgery! -

My sleep study is nov 9th. Any suggestions ? I am almost positive I dont have sleep apnea but he required it :/ Not looking forward to it!
