You're too funny. Thankfully, I am in an insolated situation. Husband works a lot, live in country, no family around me, etc... so won't have temptation near me. I don't have to cook for 2 weeks (check). Going to Cancun, Mexico for surgery and I can have a small meal the night before (check). Keep up the great work!!!

Yogurt, cottage cheese (yuck!) sf popsicles, sf jello, shakes. No cream based soups, etc.. I wish, I love cream of chicken.

You can do it. When you're finishing your surgery, I'll be starting my pre op. Keep us posted on how your making out with the pre op. Really interested in knowing how you're feeling through the whole thing. Are you starving? I know you can do this and it inspires me that you can do so, so can I. Yeah!!!!

OMG. I love, love, love McDonald's sf iced tea. I am a diabetic. I usually check before I leave the window, sometimes I forget. Pull away and darn, it's sweet tea. Kills me. I guess McDonald's gets what they pay for. Funny thing is, I can't even get a job at McDonalds.

Stacey, Money is an issue for me too. So is this stupid underline that I can't seem to get rid of. I bought "Super Advanced Whey Protein" at KMart. The strawberry is delish!!! I think it was like 19.00. I could but won't, drink it all day.

I feel so bad for you. I am having my surgery soon and I already struggle with depression (on meds). I have read that this is normal but "apparently" disappears after a short while. This really concerns me. I hate to put all my dirty laundry on here for everyone to read, but I thank you for sharing your story. I wish the best for you.

I am going 8 days after you and I'm also super excited. However, I am having a panic attack over my pillow. I am type 2 diabetic and just visited the diabetes nurse educator and she said I can have 3 servings a day. Of course, I am pre op. Was just wondering because I don't know yet if my surgeon will say water or milk or either. Does your surgeon say water or milk or either?

Because I am having surgery in Mexico, and was told I would be discharged with no pain meds, I am scared to death.

Do you mix your proteins shakes with water or skim milk?

TX Patty - Ut oh. I better start stopping. I have 5 weeks left to surgery. Why did you need oxygen? Pain? Can't breathe?
