I will be 3yrs out 2/2/15. Now, I'm having problems keep food down. When I eat, maybe about 15 minutes later I began to have this "MAJOR" sharp/dull pain in my lower back. The pain shoots from my back to stomach. Basically, I call it a belt of pain. I hurt all the way around from my back to abdomen. My doc told me that people who have this surgery stand the possibility of having gallbladder problems. Has any experienced this problem or had their gallbladder taken out since having the surgery????? Please help!!!! I hope to see a doctor Monday????????

Thanks Greenize42....I appreciate your story. Well, with an ultra sound I had done I was told it was gas. I have an appointment on Wednesday the 14th for a scope to see if anything is wrong with my pouch. But I'm still having major pain in my lower back after eating. So we will see....Thanks again for sharing ????

I really appreciate the information and you sharing with me. I guess I'll see what the gastric doctor says and go from there. It's funny but as I tupe this message, I'm sitting in bed just ate my breakfast sandwich and back is now killing me, Heating pad and propped up on pillows....But it's gas????

Wowww Really....So how did they finally determine it was your gallbladder????

How bout I went to my doctor for the ultrasound and the results came back as "Gas"and she didn't see anything wrong with my gallbladder....I am not convinced that it's gas. I eat something then my lower back starts hurting really bad but that's gas. A lie.....so tomorrow I have an appointment with my gastric doctor...smh

I think you are right. I'm sitting here eating on plain tuna fish in the pack. No problems so far.,,,Thank You Jesus. I'm noticing weight loss but which is not good because you know when you're ill you will lose weight. When you get well it comes back. I pray everything goes well with your doctor visit. When I tell you I had a episode soooo bad this morning....smh All I could do was prop up on a stack of pillows and a heating pad. It will get so bad I have to sit down a lot if times. I'll be so glad when this situation is corrected if it's gallbladder issues.

I suffer with the same issue" Bloating" . I recently made a trip to the Vitamin Shop and purchased a vitamin called Digest-All. The guy that works there told me that it would help with the bloating. So, I'm going to give this a try and see how it works. But I definitely know what you mean when you say down today and up like you 4 months pregnant tomorrow....smh. I forgot also I changed my milk to lactose free because milk is what I use I'm my protein shakes. That really made a difference....

I will be two years out Feb. 2. I started at 358 now I fluctuate between 200-205. I feel I should have lost more but I guess my body is settling. Yes, there are time I notice weight gain. The most I've gotten up to is 210. When I see that happening it's time to do something. So, believe it or not I go back to the liver shrink diet we had to do before surgery. Protein shake and a piece for fruit for breakfast and lunch. My dinner consists of 4oz meat and unlimited non starchy vegetables. I got those extra pounds off.

Is there anyone that is taking an acid reflux pill like Prilosec everyday to prevent acid buildup in the stomach????

Well, I thought I had an ulcer to form about six months ago. Everything I ate made my stomach hurt as if I was dumping and I would have sharp pains all around and burning. This went on for about two weeks. I literally was scared to eat anything. Then, I went to the GI doctor. He did the scope test to check my stomach. He said everything was in tack but there was red irritated area towards the top of my stomach. Which probably came from spicy/acid foods. So he prescribed Prilosec and it worked once in my system good. My stomach stop hurting.

What is the best thing to relieve this trap gas???? I am really hurting all in my back and stomach. Please Help!!!!!!!

@Music1619 I understand...lol The smell is just awful. I'm really lying in bed wondering if I had a dumping. My stomach is still hurting....The last time I went through this I ended up at the doctor because everything I ate started my stomach to hurting. But this feeling didn't start until earlier today. I decided I was going to attempt the Liver Strink Diet again that my doctor requested 2 weeks before surgery. Only because I wanted to set a goal to come out of the 200's. I'm at 205 now....But I may have to cut this goal short if this is going to keep happening. I'm just literally scared to eat anything now.

I've been walking around and I have the heating pad on. Plus, I taken 2 teaspoons of mustard. That has helped me some since I posted. Since you guys surgery, do either of you occasionally experience trap gas or is it just me? I stay so bloated now since my surgery. It will be 2 years in February.

@Veesoul....That's not true as you have read. My doc said no alcohol until a year after surgery. When you do you have to be careful because you will get drunk or tipsy really quick. You also could stand a chance of dumping if the drink is too sweet. Just be careful and if you decide to drink just remember moderation.

@Karen..... How long has it been now since your surgery? What was your highest weight?

What is it???? Why when people know you have had the surgery they watch you eat??? I had a coworker tell me" I see you been indulging a little bit lately." I was 5 second from going completely off. Don't the people know we still can eat certain things but everything is done in moderation. Damn..... :/

@ Jennie B.....OMG!!! Thank you fir sharing your story. I do sometimes share my store with certai . People but only those who i feel are truly concerned and actually considering the surgery. I haven't had many problems and I thank God for that. Now, i think i may have been a month or two out of surgery and nothing would stay down not even water. So, after getting that corrected I feel fine. I do regret sometimes but thats only when i can't finish all my food or i want something i know i can't have but as i remember correctly thsts what put me in the overweight predicament i was in amd the all regrets leave. Thank you again for sharing. It will be 2 years for me in February but i know that I've hit a stand still. Hw: 358 Cw: 202 I could be crazy but i think i may should'velost a llittle more. I don't know.....

I had the Mirena before my surgery but had it removed to prevent blood clogging during surgery. I really want it back because I'm sick of these monthly menstrual cycles. But am afraid I will gain weight because the Mirena deals with your hormones or something like that.
