  1. I have my surgery on the 30 th as well. I go to my last class Tuesday and hope to find when I do my liquid diet then. I'm excited but so nervous. How r u coping?
  2. My question is when do the stalls usually happen abd how long do they go on for?
  3. I should get my call this week to set my date and my final class. I admit I am actually getting some nerves, more impatience to start my journey than anything but still a Lil nervous that I will have a date and its just becoming real to me. I plan EVERYTHING so can anyone tell me what I need to go ahead and get before surgery?
  4. Well hopefully it will go away soon. I'm prone to nausea so I know its awful to deal with. Maybe they can find out why you are having it and its a simple fix
  5. I am going to st Vincent bariatric center in Carmel and just found out everything was good for labs and tests. I should get to schedule my last class and my surgery date soon. My question is does anyone know what Dr Inman recommends for the preop diet? And is post op usually two weeks as well?

  7. I am majorly impatient but am gonna try to wait to see when they call me. I will keep my fingers crossed for ya and will hope for both of us to hear soon. Do you have to do the class b4 surgery too?
  8. I found out last Tuesday that I was approved and then got the call yesterday that scheduled my testing for next Thursday. Hoping the first week of October to get my date and my last preop class.
  9. I got the phone call from Hancock Regional saying my testing is for the 26th which is next Thursday. What can I expect they said I have a bunch of tests then I have to meet with a doctor in the afternoon. I don't really know why I have to meet one of their doctors so can anyone explain this to me? Will he decide if I have surgery and give me a date or will I need to still go back to the bariatric center for that?
  10. My insurance approval came in today!!!! Now on to preop labs then for my surgery date!!!!!
  11. See I don't have to do 6 mo either mine is a preapproved surgery w medicare its just been a hassle w st Vincent's. it seriously feels like they just do not want to do the surgery. They did say once submitted to medicare it only takes one to two weeks for approval. Then I go for blood work and get my date and do one last class. What I hear though is that she has a 2 month waiting list from time u get your date to when u have surgery.
  12. Kinda down about things right now. The whole process has been a big waiting game and its got me disappointed. I did my consult and met the psychiatrist the same day and had to wait almost a month to even find out what my recommendations were. Then in my letter it stated I needed to register for the lifestyle discovery class plus attend some support groups. Which was fine I had already done the class and I registered for the class which was 7 weeks out. I then found out that I couldn't submit to insurance until I completed it which upset me bc the letter of recommendations said just register for it. Well I waited the 7 weeks and did the class and they said they would submit at that point after they got the results that I attended the class and even after a week of waiting they still have not updated the info so I still have yet to submit. This seems to me a while to wait. And I also heard from a girl in the class she was allowed to do blood work that day which is my next step but I was told I couldn't until after being submitted to insurance. It's just bothering me that I try to do everything for them quickly and with every step there are 4 hurdles to jump through on their part. Has anyone else had this happen at st Vincent Carmel?
  13. I'm from hagerstown Indiana and will be having mine in Carmel with dr Inman.
