  1. Ok August folks am I the only one starting to have kind of second thoughts, scared, anxiety. I have two little ones I want to come home to. The life after isn't making me nervous but the surgery itself is starting to panic me a bit. Anyone with tips to help ? I jUst keep saying your doing this for the right reasons.
  2. Hi all my surgery is August 14. I'm starting to get nervous. Not about the decision but the surgery itself. I have 2 small babies and a husband to come home to. I'm doing this to be healthy for them and me. I've been heavy all my lIfe but really bad the past 14 years. I'm looking forward to getting out and doing active activities with my kIds. Not feeling like I'm being judged because I'm overweight. As well as being able to do more than 3 stairs without feeling Winded. I still have have a few more pounds to lose, but I know I can do it. I'm from Massachusetts were is everyone else from

  4. Congratulations ! I'm August 14. When they called to give me the date I was so excited. Then the butterflies set in.
  5. When I started To think about this 6 year's ago I wanted the band. It seemed the and safest. Then I started to read about the amiunt of people that switched to the rny and the problems . I also started to read a lot of surgeons will no longer do the lap bc if the problems. So I looked at the sleeve and I had surgeon say"do you have bad acid reflux now? " I said yes. She responded "Then you do not want the sleeve. Your life will be hell after" so that made up my mind.
  6. Thank you! The rep said he doubted it would be covered since it could be considered elective, but he didn't know. I wanted to tell him what I really thought if that statement but didn't. I really appreciate your help

  9. Hi everyone. I'm having my surgery on August 14 and I'm in the process of getting all my leave from work forms in order. I was wondering if anyone that has gone through the surgery had it covered by short term disability. I know it falls under FMLA. jUst wondering if people had to fight to get it covered under short term disability? Thank you in advance!

I have 2 little ones that I'm getting healthy for. ....Ok I also would not mind being able to walk up stairs without getting short of breath or being able to fit in a chair at the movies. Im from Massachusetts. I'm really looking forward to my new lIfe with my family after.
