August Bandsters How are you Doing So Far

I agree with you Salsa. Heck today for dinner I had a burrito supreme from Taco bell. Its not something I do all the time but when i do get a craving I satisfy it but just with a whole lot less food than I would have eaten before. I am also exercising usually 5 days a week which I wasnt doing before. Like you said I know that if I deprived myself I would end up snapping and eating all those good things that go through the band easily. But even with the occasional splurg (which for me is 2 or 3 times a week) I have have still lost 64 lbs in 4 months.
  3. Candle Im not sure which brand you were looking at but on the back of all spanx products there is a chart. It shows you by using your height and weight which size would be right for you.

Have you been shopping for new clothes?

I basically have a whole new wardrobe with just a few shirts left that I just keep to wear around the house. I am trying to just buy the basics for now but its hard to resist buying since I have so many more options now. I am about ready to retire a couple pairs of jeans that I just bought 2 months ago. Baggy pants drive me nuts!! I tryed on the one pair of jeans I kept from my biggest and it was hard to believe that they use to fit me. I have gone from a size 34 to a 26.

    Before and In Progress Pics?

Thanks for bumping the thread Candle and Salsa. I agree with you both on how much it helps to compare old pictures with new ones. For me when I am having a day where I am feeling a little discouraged all I need to do to get me through is look to see just how far I have come from my pictures. I also love to see how others are doing and to celebrate their victories.

    First Fill

I am going in tomorrow for my first fill and I am a little nervous. Not really about getting the actual fill but about how easily I will be able to eat afterward. I am looking forward though to getting a little kick to my weight loss since I havent lost anything in a couple weeks. Has anyone gotten their first fill yet? If not when are you planning on getting it?
  7. I have a couple spanx. Both are high waisted, one are the girdle type that comes down mid thigh and the other are tights which arent as thick. I love them both and have no problems with them bothering my port area.

    November Exercise Challenge!

Its going to be tight one this month to get my 20 days in. My bf and I had to make a quick trip to mexico yesterday for a funeral and in the process of walking to much in the heels I took I developed blisters on the balls of my feet. This is making me miss working out at curves yesterday and today. I am hoping I can walk well enough with my tennies on tomorrow to be able to go. I really dont want to miss another day. Also my curves is going to be closed thanksgiving day and the following friday. I might have to break down and actually use the workout center here at the apartment complex if they are closed on saturday also (they are always closed on sunday).

    November Exercise Challenge!

Curves has a new program which you can sign up for that will keep track of how hard you are working on each machine. It makes you push yourself to work as hard as you can. You get a little tag to scan at each machine as you go around the circuit and then the monitor will show you your reps and you do your best to keep the light at a solid green. Orange means you arent working to your goal and flashing green means you are over your goal. When you are done working out you can look at the computer to see how you did that day. Which muscles you worked the hardest, how many calories you burned and if you hit your goal overall. If you go over your goal it will bump it up for the next day or if you are under it will take you down. When you first sign up for it all your measurements and weight is taken again, along with your goals. All of this in entered into the computer to determine at what level you should be working. Since starting this I realized just how easy I was taking it before. It sure is worth it though.

    Before and In Progress Pics?

Candle I bet we will be able to see a huge difference. When you live with yourself day to day it is hard to see it, I know. It wasnt till I compared my pictures side by side that I really could see the difference even though I knew I was wearing smaller sizes.

    Before and In Progress Pics?

Ok I guess I will get the ball rolling and hope many people will join me. I would love to see how my fellow Crazy Ates are doing. My before picture was taken July 1st and my current one was taken halloween night. And Salsa the way I have been posting pictures is by clicking on the Manage Attachments link towards the bottom of the page and then adding photos that I have on my computer.

    November Exercise Challenge!

Name: Pam / Pammycakes Goal: I will take on the challenge of exercising 20 days this month since I was able to do 22 days last month. I am still going to curves and working my butt off (literally) for 30 minutes with their new workout system.
  16. I dont have any official before pictures but I think this one will work ok. It was taken this summer early July. The other was taken tonight just before my boyfriend took me out to dinner for my birthday. I am finally starting to see a difference when I look at my old pictures. I also wanted to thank everyone for the kind comments on the pictures I posted a couple days ago. And again I just have to say that I love this thread!!:whoo:
  17. Thought I would add a couple pictures here. I hope I can get this too work. My before was taken this summer before the surgery. My current picture was taken last night at a Halloween party. I cant really see a big difference in the pictures but I thought I would share anyway. I am planning on adding full body pics soon. And I want to say that I love this thread. Seeing all the success stories is very inspiring.
  18. I just bought myself some new bras. Decided to when my fill nurse commented on the fact that my bra was so loose that I didnt have any kind of mark where the band goes and the fact that I had been hooking them on the 3rd set of hooks. I was wearing a 50DD and I am now wearing a 46DD, kinda tight but I know that wont last too long.

    First Fill

I called this morning and I am scheduled for my second fill in a week on the 16th. I hope the restriction lasts longer this time... though knowing that the fat around my stomach shrinking is the reason for the band loosening is a good feeling in itself

    First Fill

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.... It has been a month since my first fill and I am able to eat more now than I did then. I felt good restriction only for a few days after the fill which was great but now I know I am able to eat wayyyyy too much. I have still been losing weight so I am happy about that but I dont want it to stop so... monday I will be calling to make an appointment for my second fill.

    October Exercise Challenge!

I'm in too!! Since I joined curves over 2 weeks ago I have been going 5 days a week. So lets see how far over the 12 days I can get :nervous Name: Pam Exercise Goal: At least 3 days a week of exercise, 30 minutes a day.
  23. pammycakes

    How can this be?

Just remember, the first few weeks until you are able to get a fill is time for your body to heal not for weight loss. That wont truly start until after your begin to get fills. During this time just follow your doctors directions, make sure you get enough protein and let your body heal. Some people will gain during this time but it isnt something to worry about.

    Jump on the Goal Train

Well I never set any specific goals but I have started to exercise. I just finished my first full week of going to curves and working out for 30 minutes, 5 days in a row. That in itself is a huge accomplishment for me. I have never ... ever... started a workout program before let alone do it for 5 days in a row. I am looking forward to continuing it and being able to adding more types of exercise into my routine. I also have finally put away a pair of jeans to save as my before pants. I put them on today and they had gotten so big that i felt like I had clown pants on. I finally had to go and change. I have gone from wearing a loose 34 to a snug 28/30 in pants and in shirts I have gone from a snug 32 to a loose 30. Everyone here is doing so well. I love to come and read about everyones accomplishments. Keep up the good work everyone!!!:clap2:
