Driving or Exercising?
How long after returning home can you drive? Our surgeon sends us home with just Tylenol so pain meds wouldn't get in the way. Also I enjoy fast cardio and Just Dance on the Xbox, so how soon can any of that start? Got a bit of OCD so I'm def not going to be a slacker during this

iPhone Apps?
my fitness pal is good, but I found that many items I scanned couldn't be found which became frustrating, so I just purchased an app called my net diary pro and I love it! Keeps me on track to let me know exactly what I'm drinking and eating and how much and you can also upload pics. Other than that I too would like to know if there are any other apps out there for iPhone or Android? New to this app btw thanks

My wife and I are both scheduled for August 21! Exciting to finally see others scheduled in August . Good luck- how fast is the weight loss?
How long is it taking everyone to reach there goal weight? What was your starting weight and what's your goal weight? How did you adjust with the weight loss and new clothes? I'm getting anxious and curious and would love to hear everyone's story.. please- Upstate Ny
My wife and I are currently seeing Dr. Graber in Syracuse NY! He is amazing! The staff at the clinic is also very welcoming and understanding! Surgery date August 21!- liquid diet pre-op
I see so many people on 7 day, 10 day, even 30 day liquid diets before surgery! Our dr only requires a 3 day liquid diet before surgery. mind boggling when I see these other post. wow more power to you all! we are from upstate ny.. Anyone else from here? My wife and I are having the surgery together August 21 we have Medicare/Medicaid insurance and nothing was required.. I guess we're lucky because we're reading a lot where people have had to loose weight, have a 6 month diet/exercise program or some other insurance requirement.. maybe it's the surgeon we see, but all we had was the seminar, consultation, H. Pylori testing, psychiatrist, EKG, dietitian, and surgical clearance.. pretty simple I'd say! I'm feeling very blessed because we have an Autistic special needs daughter and we really need to be there for her, so bettering our lives is definitely a must. we are so ready that we have already cut out soda, smoking, and normal everyday eating, and stocked our deep freezer with lean cuisine, and pantry with crystal light, Protein shakes, unsweetened apple sauce, broths, mashed potatoes, and whatever else is going to be needed! We have completely changed everything so that after surgery it's not going to be a shock to our mind, mental health, or our bodies!!! I still know that we're gonna struggle, have pain, and go through ups and down and were prepared for that. I wish everyone luck and can not wait u till we have our surgery! August 21!!- Day 1 liquid diet: anyone with me?
I see so many people on 7 day, 10 day, even 30 day liquid diets before surgery! Out dr only requires a 3 day liquid diet before surgery. mind boggling when I see these other post. wow more power to you all!- Atkins Advantage protein shakes?

Ok I'm sitting here with a bunch of questions.. My wife and I are doing surgery together, both our dates are the same! So this is what has happened so far. Went to a 90 min seminar, then after we met with the billing and filled a bunch Of paper work. Our PCP has already sent them notes, so what we were told was according to our insurance nothing is required! We already had a sleep study, an endoscopy, and a colonoscopy, and met with psychiatry, all prior to making the initial appt. They were pretty shocked. they said now all we have to do meet with the surgeon which we did. he gave us a h-pylori test which were negative and said your good to go. all you have to do is wait to meet with dietitian, and pre-op testing and that's it. So we were called with our surgery date 2 days later and were both scheduled for AUGUST 21st!!! We are ecstatic! main question is. anyone have United health care medicare complete choice (regional PPO) as primary and Medicaide as secondary and come across any snags?? Anyone have their surgery with their loved one??- Best tasting chew-able vitamin
Flintstone chewable they're yummy!- Would You Have Weight Loss Surgery Again?
