    MAY 2013 POST-OP GROUP

Hi my name is James, I had my operation on 28 May 2013. So far have lost 14lbs or around 6 kg in Australian terms. I'm feeling great had some problems with whining about restrictions about an hour after two weeks I'm starting to eat soft foods in Sample scrambled egg and finally feeling restriction. Anyone else had this problem where they didn't feel restriction on the mushy pureed foods and how are you going?
  3. Hi, When I had my sleeve I've found low carb chocolate my saviour You can find them pretty easily Atkins has some nice low carb chocolate, Which taste really good a small amount but just enough to satisfy the taste and urges.
  4. Well two weeks out had some scrambled eggs this morning and the first indication of restriction I am so relieved and happy. So what's been happening I feel is the liquid pureed foods I've been on just go straight through but don't give me any restriction after having a few mouthfuls of scrambled egg this morning I can feel the restriction like I did with the sleeve so if anybody else has this problem this is what I have found. IM over the moon that I have restriction now.
  5. Hi I would let him read the good positive post her to help him settle. His concern is for you. He. Obviously loves you and don't want to lose you. If you wish him to talk to me as I've had the sleeve gastrectomy and then onto the bypass I'm happy to help. I'm I'm a guy and sometimes a guys perspective will help.
  6. Hi again, Today is two weeks since my operation I've lost 6 KGS. I wish it was more but again still feeling no restriction but all in all feeling very good. I started eating very soft foods in chunky soup tins, For example chicken vegetable and because the. Seats are soft vegetable and meets iTunes down to the consistency of puréed and makes it very tasty. So at the moment I'm feeling good and have no problems. I hope everybody else is the same.

    Eating two weeks post op

Hi all I'm 2weeks out and have been eating chunky vegetable soups, where the vegetables are very vey soft and I chew them till in purée form, I have found this satisfies my need to chew something. But in reality I'm eating puréed food, as the soups vegetables in the tin are very soft and chewable to fine amount. Also very small soft chicken pieces if I have a soup with chicken. At least it tastes normal.

So frustrated, ready to call it quits

Good luck tomorrow , I'm one week out and feeling good. Nearly 5 kegs lost and no complications. You will be fine. Just remember it's YOUR OPERATION And you don't have To live with the B--tech After the operation LOL
  12. Hi there. Yes I do thanks. Also have diary from last procedure.
  13. Hi long walk, At my heaviest pre-sleeve, I was 136 KGB Got down to my lowest of 105. , Could not get any lower after two years crack back up to 113kgs at the time of the bypass I'm feeling very good no pain right from the first night, And due to lack of sensations as I had with the sleeve, I was worried that it wasn't working. I still have that fear at the moment of course. My goal at the moment is get to 95 kg. Then hopefully down to 85 which will be where I will bully extremely happy but doubt I will get to that level. If I can get to 95 and maintain that I will be happy.
  14. Hi thanks for you reply. I had felt restriction on the sleeve immediately, but there is nothing. One week out today. Lost 4kgs so that's a good step. I'm in Queensland Australia. Where are you? .
  15. Thanks for your reply. I would have thought I would have felt the same as when I was sleeved. But after a day it felt like nothing was done. Time will tell I suppose. Thanks
  16. Hi all I just had my bypass done last week which was a revision from the sleeve gastric Procedure. however I'm very disappointed it's one week today And I don't feel any different as I was expecting you feel that tightness and restrictions that I had with the sleeve. Instead tonight all I've done is been able to eat a lot more than I thought I could without any problems. Can anybody else tell me if they had the same experience and things fixed itself up or should I see my doctor again. I lost 30 kg on the sleeve gastrectomy, which I had two years ago, and was not able to lose any more weight. I need to lose another 20 kg For health reasons. Feeling very down and disillusioned at the moment

I would definitely tell that doctor, as the staff that he has a ruining his business. He would appreciate you coming forward and telling him this because he does not want other patients to also feel out of place like you are.
