  5. At 2 weeks post op I started having horrible nausea. By week 3 I could barely keep water down. I was so worried that I was being a whiner that I waited until that 3rd week to call my doctor. It turned out I had stricture. Yesterday I had an EGD and got it stretched. I felt awesome last night. I had eggdrop soup with not even a bit of nausea. Today I woke up feeling good had about a 1/4 cup of soup and felt nauseated again. Also I'm getting nauseated by water again. Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem and has anyone had a stricture come back quickly?

  9. Well just got back home from my EGD. I did have a stricture they said it was so small they couldn't get the camera down. So fhey stretched it out, and I'm hoping this will be the only time. I woke up in more pain than I expected, but I think it was mostly on from the gas they use. Now I'm not experiencing near as much discomfort .... hoping no one else ends up with this problem
  10. So just finished at the doctors office. I am 3 weeks post op and was doing fine until last Thursday when I started getting nauseated. I hadn't had a bowel movement in a while so I assumed it was from that and took a laxative. It didn't help at all and my nausea has progressed to where even the slightest sip of water makes me feel horribly sick. The Dr said the extreme nausea, vomiting, and constipation are all signs of a stricture. So looks like I get an EGD in the morning. Hoping they can just stretch it and be done.
