  1. I truly believe you look amazing. I call it "fat chick mentality"... We will always see ourselves as overweight. It's something we need to fix. Years ago I lost a bunch of weight & always saw myself as obese. I was FAR from obese. I'm only 2 months post & 49 lbs down, but this fat chick mentality is something I will have to work on. I wish u the best.

  2. Just met with my NUT...crackers sit well with all of us' date=' and it's a common thing for RNY people to over do b/c they disintegrate in your mouth and slide right through the old pouchy! Which is why I just had to get rid of them all. Just throw them out. Only 'bread' in the house is Ezekiel sprouted grain bread, 7 gr Protein per slice and delicious toasted. Filling, wont slide out of pouchy either.

    Forgive yourself, crackers are sneaky.[/quote']

Thank you... Makes a lot of sense.

dont be so down on yourself. you have reconized that you still have some eating issues. Im proud of you! for admitting it, but also you should realize what a big step this is, your more focused on achiving your goal than being driven to snack.< /p>

i had a similar thing happen 2 weeks ago with " flatbread" aka big expensive ohhh so tastey crackers. bought a box on Friday ....GONE by Sunday at noon.

I , much like you realize that i will more than likly have food issies for the near future. my short term solution is to 1. remove / dont have " trigger" foods in my home 2. identify the reason. I have determined that "snacky" = boredom

I try to be busy all of the time. while it can be exhausting :-) it seems to be working. I limit my TV time just until im ready for bed and only have a popicicle ( sugar-fee) to combat head hunger.

Hope this helps. we all have similar issues so you not alone. and i know your going to be sucessful! your awesome !!!!!!!

Thank you so much RJ.... I needed those words.

  4. I've screwed up :(

I will be 7 weeks post op tomorrow & I messed up. Crackers have been one of the only things that sit well in my pouch lately. I sat in front if the t.v. tonight & ate half a roll of Ritz.

Has anyone else screwed up like me? I'm so disgusted w myself :(

I hope I don't fail @ this. I obviously don't have my eating disorder combated.

  5. Today marked 9 weeks out for me. Down 39 lbs but not even two pants sizes. Makes me wonder where I lost the weight from. It's like I'm failing at this too. Everyone else gets to break up with Lane Bryant and Avenue. I feel like I'm stuck forever.

    Me too!! :(

  6. I'm 6 weeks out today.

    Heres a few happenings:

-I have trouble meeting my Water & Protein goals but I'm finally down 31lbs!! I'm so happy.

-I've tried to up my physical activity but am laid up w a sprained ankle from hiking. ( I swear I can never win lol)

-Today I hobbled to the shower & Hair loss is starting. It looked like Sasquatch was murdered in my shower. Lol

-I'm going to keep on keeping on!!!

  7. I need some advice' date=' had surgery June 21st and I still don't have a lot of energy. I don't know how I'm suppose to exercise when vacuuming one room exhausts me.[/quote']

RJ's right... I'm 5 weeks post op & too pooped to pop. My NUT said its bc I need to up my Protein. I'm in starvation mode & feeding off my muscle :(

  8. That first shower at home was unreal. I felt so much better afterwards.

Also' date=' i have swelling about the size of a lemon above one of my incisions still. Any guess on how long it will be till that goes down.[/quote']

Keep an eye on the swelling. Mine got bigger & pronounced. It was a hematoma. It went away on its own. Many other swellings can b seromas.
