1. Thanks for the tip about 1/3c meal size. I had not heard of that approach. I also haven't tried to get 80 grams of Protein a day. My nut pushed 60.I will shoot for these numbers and see what happens.

The weight isn't holding me back in regular life any more but it is still an issue in my new found sport of running. My BMI is at 29, no longer obese, but still over weight. I would just feel better and preform more comfortably if I could get closer to goal. I just don't want my journey to end with me still overweight. It had been a very rough year and I want to be healthy.

I am in the exact same boat as you. My doc wants me to lose 20-25 more pounds to get to my 'goal' number but I am losing and gaining the same 3 pounds since thanksgiving. It's so frustrating!!!!

  2. Does anyone have any trouble with eating leftover meats that are reheated? I can't eat them for the life of me. Even in Soup I have an issue. And with me only cooking for myself, it makes it really difficult. If I don't cook something every night then I usually just have a Protein Shake. No leftover turkey for me. =(

It depends on what meat it is for me. chicken, hell no, but I've reheated hamburger/meatloaf and was fine. I read somewhere that reheating changes the Protein bond of the meat making it drier.

  3. I just talked to my NUT about this at my 3 month. He told me to not subtract for exercise. If you've eaten 1100 calories but burned 300, stop eating since you've met your calorie goal. I put in my exercise but not until the end of the day and I know my calories are good.

  4. I was up and walking in the recovery room (I fought with the nurse and made her let me get up..haha)... You will feel SO much better SO much faster the more you walk!! The day after surgery' date=' I woke up, washed off, did my hair and make up, got dressed in "work out" clothes, and walked the halls of the hospital with my IV pole in tote. Hahaha my nurse was like "wft??", but she ended up just laughing and telling me to be careful and just take it easy. I recovered and was back to work in less than 10 days though!![/quote']

This. Get up as soon as you can. By the end of my 2 day stay I was practically running laps.
