I bought some cute jeans at Maurice's. I'm still not certain how to dress myself now. Totally doesn't help I'm a terrible Tom boy. I had a blubbering breakdown in the dressing room when having to ask for a 5/6 and they fit. I had to explain it to the sales lady and I'm sure she thought I was nuts.

I gotta say reading your post just hurt my heart for you. I'm a nurse and has never been so in compassionate to anyone! I remember the bad breath etc and it was bad at 1st but got better. I kept breath mints all the time. Was a constant with sugar free mints. I am appalled how you were treated. I have to say if anything as humiliating had happened to me there would be hell to pay! I would file a formal complaint with HR if it
Doesn't get better. Hopefully you will find the right combo of things that will make you feel comfortable. I can only imagine how this weights on your mind now constantly. Good luck and just remember as terrible as it seems..this too will pass! You will be so delighted about your decision and in a few months when u look back you can certainly feel happy seeing where you came from.

I love compliments. It has came across from 1 or 2 tho almost condescending. I didn't like it then. I am starting to get the whole,"Don't lose any more cause you will be sick" or the " You have lost too much" kinda deal. Mainly just from the larger people. I like to remind myself it's how I know I have pretty much arrived with my success in my surgery. Also..people get jealous sometimes, some truly are interested, some think they have an emotional interest vested. I just think...I'm doing this! It worked!

I was so scared of the psych consult! I was so freaked out and honestly it was worse in my own head that it could have ever have been in reality. It's more for ensuring you have a realistic outlook and are not rushing into such a serious surgery without the proper mentality to be ready to manage it and all of the changes as well as maintenance you will need to care for yourself for a healthy new life.
Meds were honestly no problem for me. After a few weeks post op I was a bit kooky and hormonal. That's where you are honest and open with your surgeon or PCM. Because of absorption meds may have to be tweaked a bit. The key I think is to be honest during your psych eval. Many people struggle with depression just like hypertension or diabetes. Now days it's very common for people to be treated with anti depressants. A good surgeon will know how to help with your treatment.

I guess I have a more simple wording...it's investing in yourself and your future well being. Yes it's a bit more but it's so worth it. I've invested in being around a lot longer in the life of my child and in turn will be healthier to work for many more years than I probably would have been before. Sometimes those investments pay off!

I started to tell a few people and family. I had some negative reactions by what I thought was a close person friend and also a few others so I just decided to keep to myself. Overall it's my decision and no one has no right no judge my choice that I make in my life. I don't truly keep it a secret km just very selective about what I say and to whom I say it.

I've been a nurse for 8years. Some of the hardest working folks I have ever saw where CNA's. I know they are the backbone and can make or break any nurse on a shift. While nobody should misrepresent themselves it's a lot of semantics about someone saying they are in the medical field that really...who cares? If you give any form of patient care in the medical field you work in healthcare. Who cares what tier you are? We all in healthcare have a job to do and we all make up an integral part. Snobbery and "nurses eating their young" are unfortunately still a part of things today. I personally wouldn't want to work with a fellow nurse who looked down their nose at any member of the team..right down to the housekeeper! Every bit is important to insure the overall patient well being. Get over yourself!

Well with over 140 lbs gone, which is bigger than you Alaina!, I feel a ton better. No more excessive sweating, losing breath when doing little tasks, and not being able to find anything that fits! In fact now when I shop, I have a hard time deciding what to buy, because so much does fit!
I have actually starting walking a bit despite by back and leg pain and I love the way it makes me feel. I initially had the bypass to help my back pain, and while that didn't happen, I am so grateful that I had the surgery. It has changed my life forever. Just would like to lose about 20-30 more, but if not, I'm OK with it!

If theres one thing I cant stand is a snobby ass nurse who thinks shes better than everyone else. Ive been a nurse for 9 years and love the cnas I work with. I even get down and dirty with them and change attends and wash my patients. Cnas are one of the hardest workers in the medical field. A lot of times they know more about their patients then the nurses. A degree does not make u better than anyone. Its a degree thats it

I have lost twins! A total of 4 babies all together in my lifetime and you are talking about abortion!? I'm sorry my normal opinion of a woman's right to chose doesn't apply here. You were blessed with something I can't apparently be blessed with and you wanna throw it away!? I lost not 1 but 2 babies in Oct and I was in a wonderful place and my mental health has suffered ever sense. I have no words.

I tried on dresses for my upcoming trip to southern CA to see my son. Sears had a beautiful Lands End sundress but the S was a little too big and XS was a little snug. I looked it up online and it's available from Lands End in petite so I ordered it in S. Petite tends to be a little smaller so it should fit well. I may have to get a few in other colors if I like it! :-)
    Life is good!
