  2. Went to my last group meeting yesterday. At the end I asked the coordinator if the surgeon would book my pre-op and dietician appt. She said to me my June 12 appt is my pre-op. I said holly shit that means my surgery could be June. Way too happy. I told my husband this morning this is a dream come true. And I have been a person that I always had personality..good self esteem even being fat. I just wanna me able to be normal. Good luck to everyone having surgery in May, and again cant wakt to be on that side of tge field.

  12. I used to go to planet fitnes..now I attend worlds gym in Milford, mass. The bad thing I didnt like about planet fitness was that they did not have classes, babysitter, and it was always sooo packed that it took me hours and hours to work out because machines were busy. But wherever it is that your working out is great, as long as you are working out!
  13. Hi everyone. Since the tittle is exercise I wanna mention how important is to exercise. I havent done my surgery yet but hope to be soon...maybe next month. Today I went to a meeting at WLS center at Newton Wellesley Hospital in Mass..and we spoke about exercise. How important it is not only for ur health but also to keep u motivated. And to those who thinks about cosmetic surgery after WLS, exercise is good because you will burn more fat and create muscle tone. You can tone ur butt, thights, abs and arms. I struggled with weight ever since 15(today am 26). I have always exercised but always was gaining and loosing weight. Now I totally decided to do the WLS. I still exercise because it makes me feel great, I sleep better, I enjoy my lifestyle better. So I tell you all start by little by little, but yes EXERCISE ALWAYS!!!
  14. Hi, am not too worry about the cosmetic part. Well thats how I hope. Congrats on 31lbs less....and may u feel everyday much better. Thank u for the great help nd support. Am still learning about this app. Still trying to add people and am having hard time.
  15. Hi everyone. My story is a little different. I went to a first initial visit a yr ago with my sister. I atended one meeting and I told myself maybe I could do it on my own. So I tried didnt see much success. My sister had her surgery done and me...humm I was struggling. Loosing here..gaining there...and so forth. My sister now looks amazing and I regret it so much. That after seeing her results I decided to go back and start again. I went to my first appt and came across that I lost 10lbs from last yr...its nice but not nice enough when your overweight. I keep looking for motivation...so that "maybe I can do it on my own" doesnt come across my mind. I dont have a surgery date yet...but I dream about it every night!!! This is something that I have wanting for my entire life. I dont know about BCBS paying for cosmetic surg. Luckly my surgeon said I have a good skin that I probably wont need it. Am sorry am new to this app and am just trying to know as many people as I can so I can keep myself motivated in starting this life changing motivation.
  16. Me too..am more than ready
  17. Hi..very exciting! I haven't gotten a dare yet(only a month out from first appointment). Actually my first appt was last year with my sistrt. She had hers done and didnt thinking I could do ut on my own. Comes to a yr after I only lost 10lbs. I regret soo much not doing a yr ago because my sister looks gorgeous. There are many people telling me I DONT NEED IT, and this is why I keep coming here and viewing other people's story so I don't give up. I am sooo excited and dream about all night. I wish you the best...and it will feel great after!!!
