Hi Foxy yes head huger is a problem,keeping busy takes my mind off it,i ahe had 2 weeks pre op diet of sahkes 2 weeks post op clear liquids and now i have 2 weeks mushies before i can eat real food.My port is still painfull too it seems to be normal to feel pain for around 6-8 weeks from the port site.I do have regrets.........that i did not do this years ago and would do it again tomorrow. Mike

Hi Foxy that feeling in your stomach is normal,i feel fine lostn 18 pounds so far will start mushies in 4 days time ,i have no pain or dicomfort now and feeling good.Have a safe journy home and a speedy recovery Mike

Hi Debz i live just about 6 miles up the M5 from you i was banded just 6 days ago in Belgium,the band is a great tool to assist you in losing weight, di have a hard time with the pre op diet but i keep telling myself food can never taste as sweet as being slim<br /> Mike

Hi Nurse4 i too am from the Uk and banded 4 days ago in Belgium, i can never understand the prices for this surgery in the Uk.Dont worry you will be fine and soon losing weight. Mike

Hi Foxytri take some clear soups if you are staying in hotel post op,lip balm,dont try to pick up cases after surgey .Take some slippers for walking around the ward or hospital,and walk as much as you can as it does help get rid of the gas.I have recoverd well and feel quite good now just sipping water and clear liquids i do not feel hungry at all at the moment

I was banded 4 days ago and went through all the fears beforehand,i was walking around the hospital after 2 days and now have little pain or discomfort. It is worth it for your heath and happiness Mike

Hi Janer55 good you are doing well,i am fine now but had a complication due to doctors in the UK failing to spot a problem luckily for me the people in Belgium spotted it so spent time in ICU but i feel ok now Mike

Kath your weight loss must be a healthy one,if you are too tight and can not eat then that can not be healthy.I know we try to balance the speed of loss against the trauma of not being able to eat but please keep an eye on your general health and from that decide on an unfill or not

I have not gone through the expence ,trouble and pain of getting the band just to try to cheat it.I had a bad time in surgery due to a problem not spotted my my doctors in the UK pror to sugery,spent 3 nights in ICU and a very unpleasent experiance it was,no way am i going to try to cheat now
