  1. Well today it finally hit me. I am having a rough day and starting to get really nervous about surgery. I have spent so much time convincing my family I forgot about me. The thing is I have had major surgery before. A breast reduction and the lab band. I can't figure out what I am scared of. Failure maybe? I am a perfectionist that takes care of others and myself last. Am I being selfish? I am just sad today. Feeling a little lost and need encouragement. I keep praying that if this is the right choice all will go well. If it isn't then the surgeon will take my band out and say it wasn't ok to proceed. I am so analytical. I have two master degrees why am I questioning my research and decision at this point? My surgeon is a Mayo Clinic surgeon and the best of the best. What is going on with me? Anyone else go through this before surgery? I was prepared for after but not before. My surgery is Wednesday.
  2. I've been optifasting for over 3 now. My surgery is Wednesday. If I can make it thru this I can do anything! I went to the movies with my husband tonight and about died from the popcorn smell!
  3. Pre band weight 267 in 2008. That was my all time high. Realizing band failed me and I needed to change weight was 231. That was when I started optifast 26 days ago. Todays weight 218. Goal before surgery 215. Ultimate goal 120. Whew.
  4. I feel sad today and can't figure it out. I have four more days of liquid pre op left and have done 26 already. This last week has been the worst. I am normally upbeat but today I just feel sad. Like I am not worth it and what makes me think this will work. Did anyone else feel this way? It is odd for me because being positive is my normal personality.
  5. My conversion is the 12th I am so ready!!
  6. Im in jacksonville Beach. Although the humidity from this tropical storm is the pits! I love the pan handle!!
  7. Wow great job!!! Any words of wisdom for going to be newbies like me? Maintaining for 10 years is phenomenal!!!
  8. I am in trouble.... I am an anomaly - because I am cold all the time before surgery. Lol
  9. Yes! I drank a lot of water too. Because it is so low in sodium your electrolytes get out of whack. When mine happen a bullion cube in hot water helped. Good luck!
  10. I am so happy you are doing so well! Prayers being sent up for everyone up tomorrow!
  11. You all have done the same with me! For whatever reason this last week has been the hardest for me.
  12. I have had mine for five. The last 2.5 years have been hell. My relationship with food has been horrible. Are you doing a preop diet? I had to do a month of optifast. Im three weeks in and desperate for anything other than a chocolate shake. Seven more days them ill have my surgery! I am still a little worried they wont be able to it all together but whatever is meant to be will be.
